The Brooklyn Cyclones has one of the oldest and most famous rollercoasters right behind them. As well as the Coney Island boardwalk and beach.

I'm from the Altoona area & that roller coaster behind the right field wall is called leap the dips. The park opened in 1894 & one of the oldest amusement parks in the united states. They built the Altoona Curve stadium in a large grassy field beside the park that was just used for parking for the amusement park. They since built a parking garage for the park & a indoor ice skating rink beside the baseball field & park. Very cool to see you show something from a small town in Pa.

The Quad Cities River Bandits, High-A affiliate of the Royals have a Ferris wheel in left field, and the stadium is right on the Mississippi. One of the coolest minor league parks I've been to.

Yep and that bridge that goes over the river makes for a great view too!

Altoona is the closest minor league team to me, and since I've been a Pirates fan since the 1960s, I've gone to many games in Altoona, hoping to see some future major leaguers. I admit, that during slow periods in some of those games, I ended up focusing on the coaster, following its trip around the tracks. It could be a bit hypnotic.

As a baseball fan who loves roller coasters, I’d love to be a broadcaster one day for any of the teams that have coasters in their outfields!

You'd like the stadium for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, for a few weird features including a bumper boat pool & lifeguard chairs on a berm topping off the list. I'm from Maryland and didn't know the team or league even existed until last year.

Erie Seawolves have a sort of green monster going. The left field wall is the wall for the hockey stadium next door. They also use the hockey arena as their clubhouse instead of going through the dugout they go through the center field wall.

The Durham ballpark if I remember correctly, the Bull was created for the movie BULL DURHAM... and they never took it down. I don't know if they renovated or built a new park, but when they moved from A-Ball to AAA, they Kept the bull (though even he looks upgraded too)...

Ron Tonkin Field here in Oregon is pretty nice. Definitely an enjoyable place. The way it connects to a football grandstand is pretty unique, as is the greenery beyond the outfield. Apparently the team, the Hillsboro Hops are planning to move to a larger venue since their recent league promotion.
@BassManSTS Жыл бұрын
Actually with the green monster in Fenway, unless you hit low on the Monster or something odd like the ladder or garage doors, it's better to stay on 1st base if the left fielder plays it right off the bounce. Many batters have been tagged out trying to stretch a double off the monster

The minor league park in Brooklyn where I’m from has Coney Island behind the outfield wall in LF. Maimonides park or whatever they call it now. It’s a nice little stadium.

The older guitar shaped scoreboard was at the Sounds old ballpark, Greer Stadium. It was outdated and in disrepair and couldn't be moved so it was recreated at First Horizon.

Right and you are correct it's Sounds plural not singular like DG said.

With Coney Island, pretty sure they’re building another coaster just beyond the left field fence. On occasion, you’ll also have fireworks going off DURING the game. Happened the one time I was there.

Brent Brown Ballpark is now only home to Utah Valley University (I attended the school). The Owlz (Angels affiliate) were cut off. I’m pretty sure this was a Low A team that didn’t make the cut when they cut some minor league teams. The buildings are that of UVU, and you can actually see the field from some of the buildings. I would study and watch out the window. This is a beautiful ballpark, amazing view of the Utah mountains.

i’m not sure how unique it is, somewhat interesting, and i’m biased since it’s my hometown, but the rancho cucamonga quakes has 3 men’s softball fields right outside the stadium. usually they’ll have games going the same time as the quakes play so you can be playing softball and all the sudden a foul ball can come into play. also their mountain view easily trumps brett brown ballpark
