Annexing all of Canada isn't likely (and as a US citizen, I don't think it's a good idea). Other than Alberta and possibly Saskatchewan, there wouldn't be sentiment to do so. Plus, you'd never get the First Nations (who populate Nunavut and the Northwest territories) to ever agree, base on the US's history with violating Native American treaties. Canada's real issue has been not letting Quebec become an independent nation, IMO. If that ever happened, you'd see more of a centrist/conservative government in the rest of Canada. You'd never see a real conservative party, but I could see a JFK type progressive style government, which would work well with the US and other nations in the Western hemisphere. I'd prefer to see that, and Canada survive as it's own nation, vs annexing with the US.

Why not? It's better to join. It would be the largest country in the world. But I would suggest that each province become a state (so it will be 60 states and 3 territories) because each province would easily be the largest state (by area). Canada''s been run poorly in recent times. Just saying.
