I think everything you said here needed to be said. Thank you for your frankness and for allowing yourself to be vulnerable for the sake of your teaching ministry. It was powerful when you made the comment about not just “throwing a scripture at” someone who is struggling with something and who is trying to open up and share their pain. Mostly I think listening has become a lost art these days. We want instant relief, instant solutions to everything. And you’re right, I think Jesus had the gift of making everyone he spoke to feel like He had all the time in the world for them, even though great demands were being made on His time. His compassion for people was off the charts. Keep teaching, Knieshia, and know that you are making a difference in this world. God bless you! 💕
