Guitar tutorial for Depression and Obsession XXXTENTACION! Depression and Obsession has been one of my most highly requested songs lately and for good reason, it is a great beginner guitar song from a wonderful artist! All you will need to play Depression and Obsession on guitar is 3 basic guitar chords (Bm, G, and Em; I will have chord charts in the comments), and one beginner strum pattern! I also have a more beginner friendly way of playing this at the end of this guitar tutorial that requires a capo on 7th fret, and 3 alternate chords (Em, C, and Am)! Here’s the voicings/fingerings that were used on the recording: Bmin 7-X-0-7-7-0 (1st finger 7th fret low E string; angle first finger so you mute the A string but have enough room for D string to ring open. 2nd finger 7th fret on G string, 3rd finger 7th fret on B string, leave room for the high E string to ring open) G6 3-X-0-4-5-0 (1st finger 3rd fret low E string; angle first finger so you mute the A string but have enough room for D string to ring open. 2nd finger 4th fret on G string, 3rd finger 5th fret on B string, leave room for the high E string to ring open) Emin 0-2-2-0-0-0 (2nd finger 2nd fret on A string, 3rd finger 2nd fret on D string. Let all the other strings ring out) The guitar used in the recording wasn’t tuned to A=440, if you play along with the track it’s going to sound a little bit off.
