Why not have a .45 ACP Glock 21 for the cops? Local department in my town uses them. If you want new weapon models in general, for both police and civilians, I'd recommend these if you can find them (Hell, if anyone just wants to replace the vanilla guns in their game, this may be helpful). Pistols Pistol (Taurus PT92) - Replace with a Beretta M92F. I really don't like Taurus so my opinion is biased when I say, "Get the original, not the knock-off." Combat Pistol (H&K P2000/Beretta Px4 Storm) - Replace with a Glock 21. My town's department uses these, actually. Pistol .50 (Desert Eagle Mk. XIX) - Replace with a Desert Eagle Mk. VII. Not as tac'd up as the newer, "Lightning Hawk," version, but it is definitely aesthetically pleasing. At least you'll be getting rid of that, "Hawk & Little," bullshit on the frame. Heavy Pistol (Enterprise Wide Body 1911) - Replace with a Colt 1911. If you're feeling eccentric, make it a long-slide with a mounted laser sighting like in the movie, "Terminator." SNS Pistol (H&K P7M10) - Replace with a Walther PPK or Makarov PM. If you're going to have a pocket pistol, it may as well resemble one from spy fiction. Vintage Pistol (FN Model 1910) - Replace with a Browning Hi-Power or H&K VP-70Z. Both are unique pistols from the past that should be popular with 2nd Amendment-enthusiast hipsters. AP Pistol (Colt SCAMP) - Replace with a Glock 18. SCAMPs are almost impossible to find and their ammunition is almost as obscure as the weapon itself. It would make more sense for street thugs to have Glocks instead of extremely rare collector's items. Heavy Revolver (Taurus Raging Bull) - Replace with a Colt Anaconda, Colt Python, S&W Model 29, S&W 500 Magnum or Magnums Research BFR. Did he fire six shots or only five? In all this excitement, I've lost track. Sub-Machine Guns Machine Pistol (TEC-DC9) - Replace with a visibly (Illegally) modified version or M1932/M72 Schnellfeuer variant of the Mauser C96. A magazine-fed Mauser would throw in more eccentricity in your modded armory, even though it contradicts my statement about the likelihood of having criminals carry antiques and collectibles. Otherwise, just use an open-bolt TEC-9 variant with a visible rubber band modification. Micro SMG (Micro Uzi/Uzi Pro) - Replace with an Ingram MAC-10. Attach a muzzle break to the model to compensate for animations and a Snake Pliskin-sized suppressor if you prefer the quiet approach. Mini SMG (Skorpion Vz. 61) - Replace with a H&K MP5 HK54 variant or M3, "Grease Gun." Don't worry too much about reloading animations, as the player never operates the bolt when using this weapon. SMG (MP5A3) - Replace with MP5A2. Older model, sure. But, more recognizable than the A3 in my opinion. Combat PDW (Sig Sauer MPX/Knight's Armament Company PDW/H&K MP5) - Replace with MP5SD2. Same as the MP5A2 but with a built in suppressor, though rate of fire may be slightly off. Gusenberg Sweeper (M1 Thompson) - Just use a cleaner Thompson model. If you want, try to find a tac'd up version to replace the model, if you're into that sort of thing. There's a bunch for you, Polecat. I agree with Buggs, not everything has to be a Glock.
