Sir. @3:30 you said there is settlement due to improper compaction of soil. Would that mistake lead to failure by any chance?
@zain-ab5123
@zain-ab5123 5 жыл бұрын
If I may answer, it may not necessarily affect the structural integrity of the building. In fact one of main reasons why plinth beam is provided is to cater for any possible settlement of the soil underneath. If there are no plinth beams and the bricks are stacked right above the soil, yes, the settlement would affect the masonry works

No man! there will be no failure in future because the loads from super structure will distribute to plinth beam not to that below plinth beam work...and that wall or PCC under the plinth beam only for level and rod bending and shuttering purpose only...

Totally wrong. Min dia of steel is 12 mm for column and 8 mm for stirrups and every column should be of equal size....i can see non technical inputs in your work.

Are you Mason or engineer? Tell the dimensions in mm or cm why r you telling them in inches? And IAM working as an engineer in a construction company in my projects there is no drawing shows inches and there is slightly difference b/w inches to cm r mm.

Hey First thing. Being an engineer not a good sign insult the other. I am in pre-final year and the places where i have worked all of'em use inches and feet. And sir works in dubai,that might be the trend there. Questioning him to be a mason won't do any good.

Hello Ravi, It is not about your uses mm or m. But it varies by locations. Some people at different cities prefer inches or feets but all the companies or some uses mm or m. At varies by location you work. But as an engineer I will say every engineer should be fit or should be ready to work at in the both cases, whether it is inches or mm. Thank you.
