A suggestion: Revisit this conversation again but offer examples of students/graduates from the program demonstrating the value of their education in the world. A claim was made during the conversation about "the broadly educated perspective" and its value in the world of work. But what was missing from the discussion were specific examples and anecdotes of how flesh and blood students/graduates are demonstrating the value of their education to those outside the humanities "club." These examples and stories do not need to be stories of "perfect people" in "perfect jobs or work." I would appreciate witnessing a discussion about the alchemical processes that various graduates are using to transmute educational experiences into "precious metals" that are recognized by the marketplace, by non-humanists, by fellow human beings who are not students of depth psychology or the humanities. Again, how are students in and graduates from the Engaged Humanities program successfully demonstrating value to the world at large?

I was just scrolling around on the Pacifica website and found several small biographies of former students and how they were applying their learning in the world. You might want to check that out. I'm actually ok with this discussion being about the program itself, and not what other students have made of it.
