Dylan Andres Lindsey, 24, killed a liquor store owner a day or two earlier. After this standoff, Lindsey died the next day of gunshot wounds, one of which was self-inflicted. The driver, his girlfriend Alison Hart of Redondo Beach (13 years his senior), is pleading not guilty and somehow posted a $2 million bond. Kinda risky for live TV tbh. I once witnessed a speed-chase that ended in suicide on live TV around 2014-2015. They had the camera on the guy after he ditched the vehicle. He ran through the desert terrain a bit and then suddenly stopped. He lifted his gun to his head. I know a lot of officers who absolutely love their K9 and treat them just as they would a human police officer partner. I was in the Army this scene brings back memories of ARTEP (Army Rediness Training and Evacuation Procedures. Some of the chat asked if they needed that many officers. Some may have been in training (cars farther back) not necessarily there for action. Other officers could be close to next shift and came to back up the people they work with.
