When I was a police explorer as a kid in southern Texas, (those junior summer camp to police pipeline programs designed off the Hitler's Youth, I'm not joking) the cops doing the program were talking about; "When you're on the job, assume somebody is recording you. Everybody's gotta camera nowadays! It's ridiculous. It was so much easier back in the day (they were beatcops back in the 80's)." Then they would give stories of times that they beat drunk/'unruly' women who were handcuffed in the back of their car, beat other people up as a group, or stories about how the other cops in their department were doing blatant corrupt things without getting punished for it (not to warn us about corrupt scumbags, but to reminisce about how it was so easy back in the 80's to get away with things). A particular anecdote he gave was of his one buddy who would get drunk all the time on the job, and went into I think it was a barber shop where the bathroom door was locked; so instead of asking the barbers to unlock the door, he pulled out his gun and shot the handle. This was a group of 13-18 year old kids. They were proud of their corruption and scumbaggery. The cherry on top was 95% of the 'training' was not how to properly conduct yourself in the context of being a public servant with knowledge of the law who can enforce it justifiably, but it was over 95% shooting scenarios where you would be doing something normal like 'go approach this car for a traffic stop' training and then all of a sudden the guy/kid in the car would be told to have a gun and then instantly pull it on you and 'shoot' you.

Nothing worse then getting wronged by the cops. It happened to me when I was a young man. I pleaded not guilty and Won in court as I believe the judge could clearly see that the rookie cop was lying. I had my car stolen and held for ransom. /Cop decided my proof of insurance was fake and impounded my car. I cancelled my insurance the following Monday as it was useless.. the court started a hearing for my "crime" after all was said n done I still had to pay the ransom for illegal theft of my vehicle.. that's when I started learning my rights and the laws

How do people just accept it when the tell an officer “you can’t do that” and the officer says “yes I can you’re wrong”. There should be a law where they’re required to carry a huge handbook of laws and they have to point to the one you’re breaking and show you it if they accuse you of it. If they can’t find it, you’re free to go. If there’s too many laws for that to be realistic, then it’s unrealistic for us to know and follow them.

a lot of cops think that if you ask a passenger for ID you have to give it to them. I talked to a cop that I have on video in North Carolina asking him if passengers had to ID even of they didnt do anything wrong. He told me they have to, and if they didnt they could be arrested for obstruction. I told him you can ask but they can refuse because they have a 4th amendment right. his comeback was "don't hang out with the wrong people."

It's unlikely there was any infraction of any kind. It is called profiling. They target people of limited means. They are easy to extort, because they have no ability to fight the system. They knew what they were going to do before they did it, they just didn't count on them pulling up to their job site. Amazing it didn't alter the behavior.
