What they are doing isn't rly "great scouting", finding the players they are finding isn't hard at all, the likes of Aubameyang, Dembele or Guerreiro were already well known in Ligue 1, they just know where to look for cheap prospects (Ligue 1, Bundesliga and championships outside the top 5) But what is special is what they have to attract these players : they are playing champion's league football, they have good infrastructures, a rly good staff, and the most important : they are a springboard club (i'm not sure about the expression in english). So when they meet players like Aubameyang, Dembele, Haaland or Sancho who are already scouted by entire Europe, they can assure them a lot of playtime while playing big games, and they know they'll not be forced to stay when they'll want to leave for a bigger club. The only similar clubs (selling clubs) that are as attractive for young players imo are Lyon and Porto/Benfica, but these 3 clubs have better academies so they are rarely counting on prospects outside their own academy, so Dortmund is probably the biggest club that is buying players to sell them higher later and the only one who's capable of investing so much

Jeune Légende but finding a player you can slot right into your system almost everytime you sign a player is absolutely incredible scouting, they have some of the best scouts in the world working for them, and their team structure shows that, most every player they sign plays well for them, that’s unprecedented for what you’d call a selling club, I wouldn’t, if they were a selling club Marco Reus would’ve been sold a long time ago, probably around 2013/14 when his value was it’s highest. Dortmund is the second biggest club in the third biggest footballing country, not many players will play for a club as big as Dortmund, also Dortmund fans wouldn’t be so loyal if their club was a selling club.

@@kahlebhowarth-jennings9688 Yes i respect the great work they are doing ofc but if you are talking about scouting i think the work putted in by for example rb salzburg scouts or even leipzig is more impressive. The likes of Sancho, Haaland, Dembele aren't system players, they did at Dortmund exactly what they were doing before in their former club. Dortmund's statue which is being a big club with decent financial strength, allows them to invest a lot on prospects so they can take rly low risks by buying players that has already proven themselves. Real scouting imo is what is done for example by french 1st of 2nd division clubs that find gems in u14 or u13 local teams to incorporate them in their formation system and building them into top prospects. And at professional level, when Arsenal for example go find Martinelli in the 4th brasilian division, that's good scouting. When they go find Aubameyang or Dembele that were already scoring hat tricks in ligue 1 since 1 year, that's also good scouting, but that's what every other selling club would have done if they were able to sign them. But that's just my opinion

Probably the only Klassiker in the past two years in which Dortmund have a realistic chance of winning. (The only reason Dortmund won back in the beginning of this year is because they had an obscene amount of luck and Bayern has decided to be a special needs child during the dying months of the season in recent years). With a rested squad (sacrificing a win against PAOK was in our best interests), a new spirit under Tuchel and huge improvements in many of our players, we have a good shot at winning this thing.
