Der weisse Ring bei strahlendem Sonnenschein. Das Madloch war neutralisiert (wurde nicht gewertet).
The White Ring Race with great weather conditions. Madloch section was neutralized (not timed).
Location: Around Lech
Race: 22 km and cumulative 5'500 m vertical drop and around 650 racers

Cool Video. The heartrate is insane really. Some tipps for you from a former professional skier: Never ever look back it costs a lot of speed and time. When somebody is behind you then it is like that. He will not look back bcs he can see you already. You are driving small track, means the feet are not wide enough. Wide feet gives speed in certain terrain. Keep your skies flat always even in corners. Physics will do the rest if you have reasonable power in your legs. And do not smear, use the edges of the skies when having a tight corner. Yeah it takes a lot of practice, but it is worth it believe me. Just my 2 cents, great video footage

Thank you for the great tips, I hope I can put some into practice. I guess your condition "if you have reasonable power in your legs" might be the limiting factor ;) I do not train ski racing and usually wax the skis just once in summer. Regarding the heart rate: I have a relatively low resting rate, but the excitement, high altitude, effort and some apres ski the night before push it up. Since it goes very quickly back to normal right after the race I feel fine. Have fun on the slope, happily winter is not far away

Thanks for the great footage! Can’t believe they made you all climb up the hill after the Zugerbergbahn before having to do the flat section. Was the escalator there too dangerous for the race?

I thought the same when I exited the gondola. I was under the wrong assumption that we could run up the escalator and was then surprised that we had to do the detour 😄

Alter Schwede, wie schnell. Ich war zwar seit 22 Jahren nicht mehr dort, aber warum fehlt denn das Madloch hier? Und von Zug aus fährt jetzt eine Gondel/ein Kabinenlift? 🤔👍👍

Ok, hab gerade woanders gesehen, dass für den Madlochteil für alle Teilnehmer die gleiche Zeit gewertet wurde.

Richtig, leider waren die Bedinungen nicht ausreichend, um das Madloch rennmässig zu befahren. Deshalb wurde die Zeit gleich nach der Madlochbahn gestoppt und erst wieder beim einsteigen in die Zugerbergbahn wieder gestartet. Neu ist die Madlochbahn ein Sechsersessel und auf den Zugerberg fährt eine Gondelbahn.
