My parents came from D.I.Khan at the time of partitions. My little dtrs used to sing Aarti tulsi Pooja in Kartik month with my mother. My mother used to do tulsi Aarti every year in Kartik month. Now my dtrs ask for that particular aarti. Now anyone from D.I.Khan can throw light on this subject. Thanx. With regards,🙏🙏

Rao kelan and his son khuman and theera (Son of begum jaweda) (Muslim bhatti) -An unanswered question is that why did Rao Kelan settle Javeda and his two sons in Bhatner, he could have settled them in Dera Ghazi Khan or Dera Ismail Khan? Bhatner was the ancestral place of the Bhatis, the Muslim descendants of Rao Kelan considered it theirs, and protected it with all their might till 1805 AD. Dera Ghazi Khan was the kingdom of his maternal grandfather, hence other Muslims would not have allowed him to settle there, or he would have been misled by the Balochs and Langas and would have tried to take over Pugal. There was no possibility of such an environment being created in Bhatner. Apart from this, in Muslim majority states, Bhati Muslims do not have a separate status, they are looked down upon. He was living in Bhatner as per his ancestral rights, hence he did not lose his identity. Begum Javeda was also proud that she was enjoying the kingdom given to her by her husband, and not living on the crumbs of her father. They would have disappeared forever in the western region of Multan and would have also suffered because it was the main center of external attacks and internal turmoil. This decision of Rao Kelan was taken very thoughtfully and was based on the foresight of his experience.
