The reason at 20:44 that taking the pawn is a draw is now black plays Bb5 and covers three of White's pawns with the bishop, which frees up the king to go cover the h-pawn. Of course Black expected the pawn to be taken, and therefore premoved Bb5 and instalost

he was in the chat "i had to pee"
@nobodyharder65752 күн бұрын
The thing is it's not a ragequit. When a 900 sees themselves with one rook against two in an endgame they just assume that they're losing, because they have no idea how to coordinate their bishop and knight properly. At this level a rook is probably better than even a pair of bishops.

7:20 Okay yeah I think there was an easier way to guess that one than the opening choice. Because I'm 1300 and I've definitely seen some absolutely jank openings, but I don't think anyone my level is getting their queen hit by Nc6 and playing Qc3 allowing Bb4 pinning and winning the queen, because that's one of those patterns we already lost like a dozen games to when we were rated under 1100. Like not just the general concept but that exact setup of Nc6 and Bb4. Maybe not always the queen, maybe sometimes it's a rook or a knight we lose on that square, but that specific geometry is just too damn common in the opening. Similarly we tend to be hyper aware that if we've moved the F pawn as white and not castled we gotta be watching for Qh4 because again, we've already lost dozens of games to that before we got here.
