Derate 5mph on any Volvo Semi Truck remove speed sensor right ✅ DD13, DD15. Problem Solved

Speed Sensors located on Transmission.
On Some Models may be more then one speed Sensor.
If you don't have this Fuse under the hood, then check inside of your truck. Check Google to find it

🤔I have a 2012 Volvo. To eliminate the 5 mph speed crap is to totally delete the DEF system. I did it with my truck, and no more 5 mph derated speed limit. Engine breath and run even better without the DEF system. Fuel mileage increases as well. But do not take the DEF system out. Leave it right in there. No opinion. I hate pulling over to the side of the road having regenerated. Totally waste of time, fuel, and you have to get that delivery and pickup on time. Feels good when you just fuel up, and not adding DEF fluid as well.

CEL came on with a code SA 0 SPN 84 FMI 19. VSS needed to be replaced (Vehicle Speed Sensor)

Thanks. Was able to drive on Manual. My truck was in temporary lock and wouldn't do the regen. The soot level was low and the regen light wasn't flashing but was saying it's in derate and would only go 5 mph. After removing the sensor and the ECM fuse, I drove on manual shift and 10 min of driving, noticed the regen light flashing. I checked the status and the temporary lock was gone. Stopped at a rest area and did the regen.

Does your truck rpm limited? Mine same like yours after the speedometer doesnt work then the rpm limited to 1200 rpm.

@@tappingenthusiast3405 yeah, it also wouldn’t boost fully. I found the problem. It was yellow and green j1939 cables corroded and melted together. My suggestion is first check the wiring. Start at the speed sensor connection and follow down the speed sensor wire path. It goes around and up the transmission and then out towards batteries. Mine got cut right above the batteries. This wire will be zipped tied to a little piece of metal welded to the cab that is hanging just above the batteries and very close to the electrical plug 🔌, where you connect the extension cable in the winter to heat up engine block and transmission. I guarantee you it’s a broken wire! Good luck

hey i have a 2007 volvo d670 10 speed D13 ENGINE my truck set about 2 years and my truck was running good when i originally park it....and it has about 1/2 tank of fuel in it ..so i got ready to start the truck up after 2 years of sitting and got some new batteries in it and it started right up idling beautiful i go to drive it and its if i dont have no power it takes along time to get to 50mph and i have the gas pedal to the floor ..i changed the two filters and put some additive in it i put howes and lucas injector cleaner and fuel conditioner in i went back out to test drive it .and it seemed to be alittle better i was able to get 60 mph but it still taking along time to get there i drove about 90 miles.but it still doing the same thing it is not smoking it but it is actually running good but i dont have no power...there is no code lights on..do you think i need to put somemore additive in it and drive it more..

Hello! I have a Volvo D12. After an engine rebuilt the truck doesn’t want to go above 5 mph. RPM doesn’t go above 1500rpm. The truck is locked on the first gear. Only first and reverse work fine. The truck doesn’t shift above the first gear at all and the speedometer is close to zero. Any idea for me? It can be the derate mode or the transmission starting to die? Thanx.

привет 👋 after my VSS went out, i replaced that speed sensor and check engine still ON. it drives fine until i hit about 40mph and problem comes back again. it will not raise RPM above 15.. and not gonna show speed anymore on the dash. do i need to go to a shop so they can plug in their diagnostic tool and let the ECU that speed sensor was replaced? or CEL it will go out on its own? thanks for the help!

The fuse says abs ign if you take out it won't START also it won't go on gear on the keypad

You forget one important thing. You will loose your j brake with speed sensor off. Solution. Splice one of the two wires, run a wire from each spliced end to the inside of the cab, you can plug it back in. Now when ever you touch them together you will get your jbrake and will derate, when you detach them, no jbrake but no derate. A way to get to a repair shop at normal speed with jbrake. You can put a switch on it and leave it incase it ever happens again.

След като откачиш спиид сензора и бушончето за АВSa,камиона може да върви,но само на manual режим на скоростите а максималната скорост на камиона не надвишава 59 мили в час,понеже имаш на разположение само 11 скорости,и 12 та я няма.Круиз контрол не можеш да ползваш,щото не работи и педала на газра го натискаш с крак😂,но може да ползваш дървена дръжка от метла и да я заглавиш за да държи педала натиснат до долу.😂
