DERBI DRD PRO TUNING STORY

Bought my first ever bike 3.9.2021 and since then the whole bike has been stripped down completely and tuned the way i want it.
I learn't so much while working on this project, and i've had so many good memories while i've owned the bike.

Awesome work bro, im very jelous tbh lol. I know you got the YZ125 front fender, but on 24mx theres so many alternatives. Can you maybe link what front fender you ordered. And also what kind of front plate did you order?

I think it was a 2014 model fender and mask.

Nice bike! I wanna ask, did you remove the oil pump? Im looking for a new carb and i dont know if the 21mm dellorto carbs support oil injection.

The bike blewup because the oilpump failed. I learnt my lesson. Automatic oilinjection is DOGSHIT in mopeds… allways remove it. Just mix your oil straight to the gastank.

@@matz3236 just remove the oilpump and put a cover to it. its mounted with bolts so its very simple

Are there any benefits of taking off the air box? Couse i see a lot of people doing it, but not only in drd pro. I'm wondering is it because it's defective or maybe bigger carburator isn't fitting? Or is it couse you want more air flow?

Original airbox doenst fit with the 28mm pwk carb without modifications and i had a foam airfilter laying around so i put it. It gives little more airflow, but not significantly. I think its ok to keep the original airbox if it has no restrictions. But if the box is restricted its not a bad move to put a foam filter

Bought them used from a guy i knew. The moped scene is big in finland and everybody has parts. So yeah. I dont think you can get brand new pair everywhere

Byuing a drd pro tomorow because i got ran over by a car on my old derbi senda. Wish i could be 15 aigan because im turning 17 soon an i am able to drive cars now. I want to go back in time so bas and would have loved to have a drd pro back when i was 14/15 :(

How did you mount the led bar?

I drilled a hole on top of the yz numberplate. The led bar had a bracket that was flat and that sat on top of the numberplate. It was secured with a big locknut

Yes and no. All the plastics were in pretty good shape except one of the rear fairings. And i bought a ”new” one secondhand

I had the rear plastics expect the rightside fairing on the bike when i bought it. And i found a guy that sold me original rightside rear fairing for a good price! So they are original/secondhand.

Yeah well you can cut your plastics, but you cannot fit drd pros plastics to normal derbi. The frame and everything is so very diffent

Eipä mulla ollu mitää turhaa ku valojen katkasija ja etuvalon piuhat. Leikkasin sen yläkiinnikkeen vaan irti. Nipareilla alhaalta, ja siitä tangon ympärille menevän sträpin alta kiinni nii pysy jämäkästi.
