I miss RC trucks. I had an OG T-Maxx that came with the 2.5 or whatever size the OEM motor was, so, i upgraded it to the 3.3 motor with an upgraded clutch, metal flywheel, metal axles, etc. It was so expensive to mantain but man, was it fun and fast

@DerbyCityRC I have a fishing kayak. I take one out every time I go. I just have a couple of the $100 ones. They rip!! 3s water cooled brushless. I got the second one for when my wife and I go for a paddle.

Yes I can attest that a good set of tires and wheels with some brass rings up front makes a huge difference. IMO this is the best value performance features per dollar available right now. Scooped mine up on AliExpress for $122. I feel like I stole it. So far it's been a blast to run and 2nd gear is absolutely bonkers! Thanks for the great video!

Man, oh man, I want this little thing! I know if you could get some good brass parts and better tires, it would perform really good for it's size. And there isn't anything in it's class with all those options for that price. Great video! That one bumb looked great!

I agree! It took me some time to get into the crawling side of the hobby but I love it. Still comes in 3rd to heavy bashing and drifting but it’s nice to not have to worry as much about things breaking since I have a heavy trigger finger 😂

It does! Somewhat similar vehicles, but the Ridgerock is a monster compared to this. Much bigger. Also flexes a lot more. I’ve got a video filmed that one day I’ll be able to finish comparing the ridge runner and the ridge rock. They are both excellent.

3rd gear neutral being the drag gear?

It’s 2nd gear. Definitely no drag at all, just straight up neutral. 3rd gear is the high speed. The drag going down the long ramp near the end was just while being in first gear.

Does brushless really make that big of a difference in a crawler?

I think that mostly depends on how serious you want to take it. You do have better and smoother control with brushless usually, sometimes needed for tricky obstacles. But in a lot of cases, brushed will work just fine.

Does Hobao have a new truck or truggy ? All I know of is their twin vertical plate Hyper MT, a buggy and I think a road car. I haven't heard anyone mention Hobao in months. I hear good things about them, and actually considered the Hyper MT (went with the 6s Kagama instead) until I found out I'd have to glue the tires and paint the body myself if I bought the roller. I kind of only want to buy rollers as much as possible because I don't like paying for a stock servo and a stock radio that belongs in a Fruit Loops box. But I didn't feel like gluing and painting myself, and I always worry about aftermarket parts support with smaller brands. I know TC is a smaller brand, but good old M2C and ADU Racing both stepped in and I get nice shiny upgrade parts.

So I have a few crawlers, and just not really into them, they just don't scratch the itch for me like bashing. However, this little thing looks amazing for the size and price. Didn't think I'd ever buy another crawler, but I'm gonna grab one of these. I think this will embarrass similarly prices SCX24s.
