Looks like a really enjoyable morning out there, Paul. Good to see some more local trails and their history 👍

Aww thank you for sharing buddy 👌🏻👍🏻. I used to be the security for pleasley pit from 2016 to 2022 and boy I loved it. Although a little Erie and did hear plenty of whispers and talking on the site at 4am lol 🤦🏻‍♂️🤭. If you didn’t see a rabbit or wildlife when you checked the site there was something a miss. But anyway that’s a different story. They also have a cafe on site if you wanted a cuppa or a breakfast etc from 10am till 1pm I think. A lovely place to visit. Loved this one.

Nice to get a mention 😉 there's a little more remains other side of the path, some brick wall remains, not sure what they were, maybe they were the bakehouse... 😁 Always blows me away how high that embankment gets before it reaches the Teversal track, plus I do love that cutting with the exposed rock... So you've got the Teversal trail to do, plus the Meden Trail too... 🤔😊

The Rowthorne end of the tunnel was totally buried when the cutting was turned into a dump / landfill. Bin lorries used to tip there throughout the 60's & 70's. We used to play along the old railway at both ends when we were kids. At the site of the old station there used to be a pair of derelict wooden freight wagons that had black square painted on them with the word Explosives on them. I assume they were left over from the old military camp that was based at Hardwick. Would've been approx 1973 last time I was there.

Cheers Paul! Another wonderful video. And yeah, let Gordo set the rude car park folks straight about blocking you in. 😁 Happy Christmas to you and your family!

Merry Christmas. My favorite training loop Tibshelf to Pleasley and back via Sutton & Stanton Hill nearly all off road, using Teversal, Silver Hill, & Rowthorne Trails. + a few bridleways, a cut through Hardwick hall and the odd back road. Teversal trail has a lot to offer but you have to look hard to find it! not lived there for nearly 4 years now so was nice to see it again, thank you.

Great stuff!!! It's a lovely part of the world isnt it. Very under celebrated. Last week I did the same triangle loop of Teveral, Sutton, Skegby, Pleasley and back to Teversal.

What a beautiful crisp day, and such a pretty walk. Well done spotting what traces there were left. That tunnel portal looked very nice. I wonder if it's under all the landscaping, or long gone. Ah just read a comment below about it being a rubbish tip...:/

Fantastic weather conditions Paul. Glad some of it survived until the 80s pairs of 20s or a 56 on MARS hammering down there Shame they haven't put mock ropes on the winding gear Merry Christmas to you , your misses and gordo. Thanks for some great videos hopefully see you next year

Cheers Russ. Yeah That cutting especially would be fantastic with a few engines powering up the gradient. Have a great day today. All the best to you and your good lady. Cheers for watching this year and glad you've enjoyed them.
