Naja ein anders Genre stand im Vordergrund. Einige Songs im Rap kann man sich auch geben. Ist halt mehr für Party oder so. Die "normale" Popbranche hat aber weiterhin abgeliefert. Ich finde nicht zu vergessen sind auch immer die EDM-Songs von Künstlern wie Felix Jean und Robin Schulz.

Die Musik generel nicht wirklich aber die Konsumenten haben einfacheinen einen etwas anderen Geschmack entwickelt bzw die Kids die Mucke kaufen sind mitlerweile andere ..... Aber wer wollte/will konnte immer auch extrem gute "deutsche" Musik in seiner bevorzugten Musikrichtung finden.

Ich hasse es, etwas auf Flüchtlinge zu schieben, aber in diesem Fall ist das einfach so. 2015 kamen viele Menschen zu uns, die Sub-Kulturen wurden massiv "zugefüttert" und diese waren es auch, welche Deutsch-Rap wesentlich stärker zelebrieren. Die Jugend (~15-30 Jahre) treibt seit jeher die Musik-Industrie der "Pop-Kultur". Vermutilch noch dadurch verstärkt, dass Rap wenns nicht ultimativ schnell ist besser ist, um eine Sprache zu lernen.

I was out of school long before 2015 but the music until then is relatable. Something changed that year. And it has something to do with Spotify and the charts. First: A lot of a new German Rap Generation has entered the stage with new music optimized for the Spotify algorithm. (Short songs) A lot of these new guys faked the charts by buying for themselves, which of course got more people to listen to them. The classic radio German pop/rock song is still longer than 3 minutes, and so Spotify will play the others more often. After 2015 I know I heard less of chart music and more very specific Spotify lists.

Wow, I left Germany in 2012, all the songs until then I remember and enjoy. Since I left I haven't listen to any 'new' German music. I didn't hear one catchy tune. Maybe it's because I wasn't exposed to it or because it indeed got worse. I you are willing you should give the years 2000 to 2010 a try. I think we had a lot more of catchy songs back then.

nothing against hip hop or rap but our music here in germany literally got so much worse I'M SORRY I SAID IT. It's all about cars, women, money and drugs. We got some nice beats here and there and it's fine as long as you don't understand the language for example i don't speak french but there is one song which was stuck in my head, i looked up the lyrics and oh damn I was like "yeh you just jammed to a song about suicide". I think it will get better soon, the hip hop/rap scene in germany was mostly dominated by guys using autotune with pretty uninteresting lyrics, the change came so sudden it was overwhelming. Since then there have been some german rappers that tried to connect to the greats like 50ct or the godfather Eazy-E!

Sad that the copyright limits the music on a few seconds. Would have been so nice to listen to this songs for maybe 20 seconds each, so you get a real imagine how dope they really are. I really love the first half of the video but I'm so sad how German music changed. I hate the songs from Helene Fischer and all similar songs. And I don't like the German Rappers, I like Sido and Mark Forster but I really hate all the boring or respect less sounding Rappers from 2016 and later. I also hate much of the earlier songs from Sido before his lyrics were more nice and familiar. But I love the German music from 2007-2015/2016 and a very very small part of the deeply honest songs from then to now. I loooove UNHEILIG, LaFee, Silbermond, Die Atzen, Adel Tawil (Ich&Ich), Cro, Die Ärzte, Rammstein, Freiwild, Böhse Onkelz, Matthias Reim, Peter Maffay, Wolfgang Petry and Revolverheld But my absolute favorite artists are English speaking people like TAYLOR SWIFT, 1D (at most Harry), Rihanna, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, RagnBoneMan, Emagine Dragons, Genesis, Queens and similar artists

Ahh, beautiful! You have to take "neue Deutsche Welle", this was music in the 80tes. You will be flashed, because it is so good and stylisch. With interprets and groups also from austria. There was: Falco: "Der Kommissar" (very coool guy, an ikone in europa at this time), the group IDEAL: "Berlin" or "Deine blauen Augen", Extrabreit: "Hurra, die Schule brennt", Nina Hagen: "Ich glotz TV", Joachim Witt: "goldener Reiter", and very impressiv is Kraftwerk: "Das Model". Neue Deutsche Welle war der Ursprung der heutigen deutschsprachigen Musik hier. Voher gabs nur "Schlager" in Deutsch, das war was für Omis und Opis, oder "Liedermacher", das war was für Intellektuelle. Viel Spaß beim hören!! The Problem with our Pop music is there is little to know development. Yeah sure, they use some stuff you hear in american pop but if you really listen closley it´s always about: a undefined feeling wich is supported through the music or it has a emotional build up to happyness, regrets, being freed from a relationship, stuff like that. But the lyrics are never defined, they are always fluid so you can´t grasp the true situation but you can FEEL it wich is after some times nothing then speaking without saing anything (personal opinion, i grew up with the king of pop [rip michael]). There is many german music wich is really good that is not played in the charts because some music genres aren´t that popular wich the stations. Even if these bands get millions of likes or views, they don´t care, it´s not in their concept. Modern example is the european song contest and the band electric eiskimo that was forbidden to join the contest due to the "fact" the stations said "it is not usable in the radio" while ca. 10 million people, wich are more then the average radio listeners, wanted to help them and vote for them to get to the song contest but they were forbidden to enter the voting because the stations and labels wanted to push their own artists. It´s one of the sad truths in germany. I don´t hate the music here but after 20 years to listening to pop i can say that with confidence: it´s always the same thematics and after some time your heard most of the combinations. That´s why i try to listen to bands that are "under the radar" and not represented in the charts and i found multiple gems in multiple genres. But yeah, these songs are often played in the radio and someimtes a real beast of a track sneaks in there.
