This was hands down one of the best bands I've ever heard and I think I speak for the majority that knows what RNR really is and there plenty of different types of RNR and I have my own opinions about that and Skynyrd... Marshall Tucker..Allman Bro's...SRV and on and on but this her is my go to when I start thinking about the past and I'm just 56 but I have reasons for this and it just reminds me of my Uncle I used to play with and he was untouchable around where I live with this kinda music .

Have bootlegs from his tour in support of 461 Ocean Blvd. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! He played Little Queenie / Sweet Little Rock N’ Roller on that tour but the difference was Eric and Yvonne were drunk. It is great to hear Eric do those songs justice

a talented group that lasted only one year 1970-1971 but a sad Story of this group The members are affected by many tragedies: Duane Allman is killed in a motorcycle accident on October 29, 1971, Carl Radle dies on May 30, 1980 following kidney problems caused by addiction to drugs and alcohol , and Jim Gordon killed his mother with a hammer during a crisis of schizophrenia in 1983. the only survivor but the most talented : Eric Clapton

@@pabloperez4063 I fully agree. I do it all the time. I just take issue with one individual declaring someone else to be the best without empirical evidence. Which is impossible for the arts. Sports are different. Fastest, strongest, longest, highest can all be measured& then “the best” can be crowned.

Maybe best blues-rock, which is saying a lot considering the Stones are largely in that category. But they're not The Beatles, and the Stones output was about 20 times Derek & the Dominos. No shame in that.

i was there , it was Thanksgiving night 1970 at MUSIC HALL. I sat 12th row dead center. best show ever at Music Hall. 5 days earlier we saw Johnny Winter with rick derringer at the Ludlow Garage. it was a great week.

Pretty poor mono recording, but Clapton's guitar just flows right through it, and the Domino's manage not to get in the way at all.

Listen to live shows with Duane(tho the sound quality is not good) to hear the energy. Duane Allman & Bobby Whitlock's contributions are beyond immense
