He could never make lw lol I know he’s only 5’7 but I’ve met him in person and he’s one of the stalkiest short dudes you’ll ever meet and dudes legs are like tree trunks lol his main issue is his lack of discipline when it comes to his diet and he lets himself gain to much weight outside of camps and then spends his whole camp just trying to drop weight. Just look at his earlier fights when he was actually in shape and lean and you can see that even though he’s short , him trying to make 155 is damn near impossible lol

that is also why you watched him - because bum watching pays him $$$. Realize fighting in ANY league is hard and after taking at least six - seven hard elbows to the face while on the ground from Jared Cannonier in the UFC, I was very concerned about his health. I CARE about fighters especially as they are near the end of their careers. I am a fighter, was an amateur competitor but these fighters are living a very hard life. You have probably never trained or fought competitively and would never understand what Derrick is doing. I respect the PFL and Bellator. When I got older, I went to the Masters division as I was in my late thirties and forties. Why would people pay to see Tyson vs Jake Paul? Age vs youth. So when I see older aging fighters leave the UFC and go to the PFL and Bellator, it lets me know they still have value and worth. I saw Brunson at the Garden against Izzy. I was there. Let that man make his $$$ while in the twilight of his career. Stop being a hater. To see him still get out there at 39 years of age, like the 45 year old Soldier of God Yoel Romero, is a blessing for all of us to witness. We should all be in awe of what he is going at his age. For him to even survive an entire three or five round fight is a blessing. In my opinion, he has already won the fight for his life when he is not knocked out and finishes any PFL fight at his age. Learn to appreciate this level of fighting. Sure, it may not be the high level UFC championship energy fights but then again, I get BORED with some of their fights and now watch ONE Championship Fights Muay Thai and Kickboxing fights which are extremely high energy and high level. The UFC does NOT have a monopoly on exciting fights and now since they have collaborated with ESPN, their fights are toooooo expensive. Why would I pay over hundreds of $$$ to watch fights that are later televised for free on KZbin? THERE ARE NO BUMS IN ANY FIGHT LEAGUE3S. They are all hard working dedicated pros out there making a living. Although I would never watch the NBA D-League, I only watch the playoffs because of the stakes and high level competition. There are no enough UFC fights to keep my interest but there are ONE championship fights every Friday night and former UFC Champ Mighty Mouse Demetrious Johnson was certainly no bum when he went to ONE Fight Championship league. Did we forget where current UFC competitor Michael Chandler came from? Or Michael "Venom" Page came from? Both came from Bellator are are now in the UFC. Seeing older fighters compete inspires me to stay in shape and continue training. The same can be said for you. Check out my youtube channel. I spar again in October and I am 65.
