I feel like he's a little too... conventionally attractive to play Emmet. Like, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Christian Borle, but he is not the traditional male lead that you get in most musicals, he's supposed to be quirky and a bit awkward. I just feel like Derek is too blatantly hot for this role :') I would still love to see him as Emmet though, because I really love this character!
