I'm ashamed to admit that like several others here I was sceptical to say the least when I noticed the low-budget nature of the show. However, I was SO glad to see what a great show this is! Exceting interview with a super-interesting topic and guest. I am honestly not exaggerating when I say that I'm struggling to describe how much better I think this is than all of the shiny and expensive talk-shows in the US! Combined! Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, Meyers etc, etc. are so tame, routine and empty in content compared to this fascinating show! As a presenter I also think you bring much more passion to the show and appear more genuine and engaging than the super-famous - but also super-mainstream - talk-show hosts which are so standardised and as diverse as an XL bag of Skittles. Keep up the good work and a million thanks for a great watch and yet another lesson not to judge a book by its cover (can't get enough of those!).

So isn't this an Australian talk show ? If so why are the cars in the photos behind the set driving on the right side of the road ? In Sydney it's the left side .
@NikkiTrudelle7 жыл бұрын
The coffee cup letters read correctly so the video isn't reversed I don't think . Maybe I'm just tired and looking at it wrong , but if you were at a distance from cars driving into and out of a city in a "left side of the road country " wouldn't the cars driving on the left appear to be on your right ? So on your right you should see head lights and the lane on you ( the observer's )left you should see break lights .

CJ Mattias The name "Veritasium" is a combination of the Latin word for truth, Veritas, and the suffix common to many elements, -ium. One thing is here to ask and that is that we leave two objects from same height .one is very heavy and one is very light then two things won't fall at the same time because bigger one has more inertia and when we leave that one it will oppose the change in state for a little time and then fall over .
@dmsnch2 жыл бұрын
No…the force on each object is proportional to its inertial mass, so the acceleration (in the absence of air resistance) is the same. Check the physics and correct me if I’m wrong.

Why we're lighter in the morning (If this thread hasn't already pounded the subject to death): While we sleep we continue to give off water vapor and physiological waste products through breathing and sweating. Meanwhile, we're not taking in any new water or nutritional matter to replace it. Therefore, of course we way somewhat less when we wake up in the morning. Part of our weight has been dissipated into the air and bed clothes/bedding.

The matches hit first... -_- Because they have less surface area (nothing to do with the mass/ weight). If you dropped a piece of paper and a pin of course the pin will hit the ground first because it's not going to get the drag from the air resistance.. It was a good interview but you really spoiled it by f**king up the experiment at the end.
