To say you are an underrated artist is an absolute injustice! You have a simple, amazing, unique and unmatched style. I watched your presentation/class on BCON22 and I got amazed by your work and minimalist workflow philosophy. Therefore, I had to explore your channel. I don't think you realize how intuitive and educational your workflow is. I work with Blender (ArchViz) for about 3 years. In this video, I've learned the easiest way to create procedural textures for walls and fabrics. God bless you for sharing your knowledge and energy. Thanks!

For the seams i usually bevel the loop cut more than one segment and then i select the central loop cut, i usually use alt s instead of s to scale evenly from all sides and turn on proportional editing to affect the near loop cuts! Overall clean and really good tutorials as always!

Instead of scaling in the seam or similar things, I like to move with "individual origins" and "normal" fixed in the Z axis, so all points go in evenly

Tip: "Alt + S" is the better version than "S" when working with fabric seams ;) PS. loving the idea of furniture friday, thanks for sharing, Derek!
@DerekElliott3 жыл бұрын
I feel like there is some inside joke where alt s works for everyone but me lol
@DJRezidue3 жыл бұрын
@@DerekElliott The command is for 'Shrink/Fatten' - very useful for scaling anything evenly along its normals. Sometimes if something else on your PC has already mapped Alt+S, Blender will replace/remove that shortcut and you will need to re-add it manually. Check your Keymap config in preferences (Keymap > Mesh > Shrink/Fatten). I hope this helps! Keep up the amazing content Derek!

Had not watched the video yet, now i did... Furniture friday, toiday is saturday ;) Would love to see a video about your furniture render on one of channels. Its that green environment, for the MUUTO brand. Thjey are so nice! PS what a lovely brand, they have so much download data available. Really love that. It helps them also getting their products across more people as we can use them in renders. Those models on his own site, the single color version, looks way nicer than the 2 tone version with the black framing.
