Dear brothers and sisters im watching this on Saturday the 23.09.2023. When he talks about curses due to the occult. I was thinking if this could have been in my family. It took me a while but then it struck me. Im born in germany all of my male family members served in the Wehrmacht. One in particular was a member of the Waffen SS i belive you all know what they have been doing. They all sworn an oath to the Führer Adolf Hitler. I would not give a thumbs down since I don't think Derek is a bad guy. However, I believe (scripturally) that Jesus has broken curses and as we draw close to Him, we will not be engulfed in some curse from a physical object. We're told in Hebrews 2, 3 and 4 that casting out demons is an apostolic gift that is not in existence today. Jesus is far more powerful than a physical object and if objects had that much power over us, surely it would be discussed specifically in the New Testament. Having said that, I don't believe we should have idols or objects whose origins are specifically unGodly. We need to do all things as unto the Lord.

Yes. Parents. My mother is still a live 103. God blessed me to take care of her until I was not able to do it any more. The man she allowed in our lives when I was 13 became very abusive to me, my brother and eventually to her. Today, God has put everything back into order, hallelujah. Objects can contain curses correct. My favorite scripture is the one in my heart is greater then the one in this world! The gosbel that tells us Christ became our curse is telling us that the OT way of salvation was a curse. Nobody other than Yeshua , (Jesus) could keep the whole OT way including Mossaic laws perfectly. YHWH loved us so much that at the beginning of the war with Satan, he set the laws to separate just and unjust. The laws of the flesh. We all are born into this world in the flesh with a sinful nature. We are told we all fall short, hence we need to change willingly by choice we need to be born again a new creature of the spirit! Yeshua took that the old way of the flesh onto the tree in death. He was perfect in ad hearing to the requirements of the OT way of salvation and when he became the curse and his flesh died it became our perfect sinless substitute if we ask and submit to him as our savior and redeemer of the sins of the flesh! The NT laws and commands our different but similar to the OT ones including the Ten Commandments. They are still just and good, we as humans our not. Yeshua is the only way to heaven! No works only grace! The old way said don't do certain actions kill adultery, Sermon on mount says new laws are in the heart,. Don't kill became don't have hate in your heart. Don't have lust in your heart. Love others the way you love yourself. The 4th command about the sabbath day which was a sign to which God the followers worshipped is now Rest in Yeshua all you heavy laden for his Yoke is light and easy ! Yeshua is the same God as the creator of the 7th day in the flesh! YHWH bless you!

I think that the Deuteronomy passages that use the word 'curses' should be more accurately translated into English as 'consequences'. The blood of Jesus has removed us from the curse. I have concerns about being told we are placed into the bondage of OT living and giving satan the power to bind us with curses when we are believers, as in the example of the woman whose hand became crippled.

I can see that there is a hideous curse running through my family effecting the second born in each family unit. I was recently born again, but that in itself wouldn't have lifted me from the curse. Jesus Christ issued us with a new spiritual technology, but we need to get off our backsides and study the instruction manual (the Bible) so that we can apply it in our lives. Dear Katja , the blood of Jesus is always of supreme power and invoked in deliverance . I myself was under a number of curses and was delivered of them in my church .Thereafter i wanted to work in deliverance ministry and did so for three years . I saw many people delivered through our work . The Lord would show me things about the person and i would repeat it to the person who came for deliverance . It showed the person that God knew and understood their problem. Then they were enabled to open up. One was a family , cursed by miscarriages i remember. . Afterward they conceived and had a child . How often have we heard Christians talking about the need to break generational curses? Much of what has been taught on this subject borders on unbelief. Believers that concentrate on curses do not understand the realities of the finished work of the cross. People are not defeated in life due to being cursed as much as they are perishing due to their lack of knowledge of the Lord. This is why Jesus said, “Go ye teaching” and did not say, “Go ye breaking curses.” It is the Truth that sets us free, not some kind of mystical deliverance session. Jesus has already been made a curse for us and has already blessed us (Gal. 3:13)! And, what is more, God was in Christ, reconciling the whole world to Himself, not holding man’s trespasses against him (2 Cor. 5:19). God is not holding sins or curses against anyone! What are commonly referred to as generational curses today are really nothing more than the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. (Gal. 5:19-21) The manifestations of the flesh should not surprise us. We are the product of our fallen society, culture, false religions, customs and morals taught us by our families, and tendencies we have learned from others. If the parents were alcoholics there may be a tendency for the children to adopt the same behavior, but many children do not. If anger and wrath were a part of the home environment, the same tendencies can be carried over to the children’s homes when they are adults, but in many cases those tendencies are rejected. While some call these generational curses, we should see them as strongholds that must be torn down by the renewing of the mind. It is the truth that sets us free. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2Co 10:4-5) As born again sons and daughters of God, we are equipped to defeat the works of the flesh by the Spirit and cleanse our minds from the patterns of the past. It is our willful choosing of God’s ways, words, thoughts and actions that will replace the strongholds we have known. Over time, new patterns of the Spirit are established and we are able to walk free from the bondages of the past. The Old Testament verses that refer to generational curses were spoken to Israel while under the Law, and referred to what would happen to those who hate Him (see Deut. 5:8-10). What we can conclude by these verses is that God had made a statement concerning the consequences of sin upon succeeding generations “of them that hate me” under the Law. This has nothing to do with new creation believers! “Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (Col. 1:13) There are no curses in the Kingdom of God. Only promises that are “yes” and “amen!”

Jesus said that a rich man will never enter the Kingdom of God. One can't follow Jesus having a lot of money or property, it's just impossible. You can't serve two masters: Jesus and the mammon. It can only be either one or another one. It is absolutely clearly stated by Jesus Christ. So, those who teach differently are deceiving people, they are guided by devil, the father of lie. Don't believe false prophets who teach contrary to Jesus about millionairs "blessed by God" etc. It's a lie. Satan loves money and he gives it to his followers, not God. Every follower of Jesus Christ must and will want to live in a very modest way, having only the most necessary things to live. Can anybody imagine Jesus Christ to curse anyone? Has He ever done it? No, never. And He said: I and the Father are the one, the same. Jesus wasn't cursing even His worst enemies, He was forgiving. Thus, Jesus's Father God doesn't curse. Punishment is not a curse - an act of anger and revenge, punishment is a logical consequence of an evil doing or thinking, when you become a slave of satan (father of sin). Satan is likely to curse not God. I believe Jesus Christ and not those people who love and learn from the Old Testament. Jesus gave us the New Testament and was killed for doing this by those who worshiped the Old Testament! Think carefully about this. Don't learn from preachers or pastors, we must learn from the Son of God Jesus Christ.
