When I first became a Christian, I told God it says to Love You Lord but I don't love you. Could you give me love for you? And bang he did my life has never been the same. The prayers he answers the fastest are the ones from the heart that are totally honest. I was probably 18 maybe younger. And then when it says love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your mind with all your soul. I knew I didn't. So I asked him. And he answered so magnificently and when I think about his love now it makes me weep with gratitude. God is love. Anytime you give him love or adoration you receive so much back. You cannot give God. Because that's his nature. No one will ever out give him he gives back with so much more. When you praise him and lift your hands to him, you received so much back. He's a beautiful beautiful God/jesus. Amen

This is amazing , my feet had almost slipped , I have been distracted by religious debate today & I needed to find a fresh vision of Jesus , only in Him can I live. Then I began to listen to this teaching & GLORY , I got the vision renewed again. I often feel the giants are too big, that the problems are too many , that these end times are so confusing & fellow brethren, falling away, hurting each other , betrayal all around . Oh Lord what can I do ? Love them Peter , never stop loving, forgiving , believing, ... simple . I may not be able to move a mountain, or lead a nation to repentance, I might not raise the dead or prophecy , or have words of knowledge, but I can love , a hug , a tear , a text message, a cup of English tea and a smile for every face . Amen we are on a pligrimage together , I love you all brethren . good to share .

I stumbled upon one of Derek's Book just last week and I've also watched some Derek's sermons on youtube…and it's been nothing but miracles; not because of his doctrines and teachings, but rather because of God revealing Himself through Derek's hands. What I just noticed is…even after decades of ministry and growth in Christ and His word at the time this was filmed, Derek still continues to learn, openly share God's revelation through the fear of God's word - (Gal 2:20). How much more can I say that I understand the Bible? I know nothing and I am nothing. But it is in this very revelation, God works reveals Himself…and I am ever so glad. Know that God loves; He is my all and your all. I pray God moves and reveals Himself to His people in these last days.

This message is so needed today. The Bible says that because of lawlessness the love of many will grow cold. This message reminds us its a commandment to love other Christians, and that Jesus has showed us an incorruptible love. Let us not grow faint in our love as it's not reliant on the actions or inaction of others.

May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. Linda C. I agree that those who not show love do not even know Jesus because He is love. I have always loved people- after my born again experience my love of people multiplied enormously and that was a miracle from God . It is not me so much but God loving through me to others. This type of teaching can not be matched by anyone else on earth. I just can not get enough of this teaching. Blessings to you for providing!!

I will love my wife, who is unrepentantly (and self-justifyingly) physically and all other "ally's" abusive to me and now has filed for divorce, LOL. I will continue to love her, for it's God's love working in me. But I will let her depart for God has called me to peace. She said she would be doing the world a favor if she killed me, then proceeded to march me down with a knife in hand stuck an inch from my gut seething in my face. I truly said that I am in good company (for the world hated Jesus) and I was truly blessed for in that moment I was realized that I was not afraid of death and seen that I would be with Jesus! I truly understand what Abraham was thinking when he was charged to slay his son! I want God to be proud of me I want to make my Father proud! "and the glory of children are their fathers."

Does unconditional love mean to let people use you? The word says, give to those who asks.. Does that mean, Give my house to a lazy person, do I keep going around someone who don't want to change their ways. The word says love, so if I give them the word an they don't except it so I choose not to be around them, because of their ways, does that mean I don't love.. Just a question. This was such an excellent, well thought out post, I'm sorry to see it is 6 years old but I will respond nonetheless. The poster's reference to Jesus' command to give to those who ask of you, is an excellent point for the basis of much NT doctrine. Correct doctrine requires the combining of several elements, just one of which is the overall natures of God, mortals, and the NT vs. OT. The NT was necessary in order the Laws of the Word/God be able to be genuinely obeyed. We who are Christ's were given the Father's indwelling S(s)pirit to conform us to holiness by His Grace. Hence, we are to be led of God's S(s)pirit in most everything we do, including our walking in His Love (NT ordinances the exception, left to us/the soul). Love for all, even enemies, must be a commitment by us in our heart and mind, trusting the S(s)pirit to manifest what's necessary. But the world's philosophy of love not being love unless it's given away, is bogus, bunk. It is to be given away when God's S(s)pirit leads us to so do; otherwise reposed. The danger in knowing this, however, is that our self-deceptive heart may withhold love for impure reasons/motives. The fullness of God's Agapé is potentially instantaneously available, as I expound on X. It will NOT make the recipient a doormat, although the adversary will lie to the contrary, instilling his fear.

Derek Prince; dont misunderstand me as if i reject love but love is horrible when its a law... it will never be a true love. i love the lord with all my heart also, i live in joy from it everyday. a true love is Agape (αγάπη), in the bible; that love is never imposed... the Pharisees also tried to impose love but everything would work out to be sanctimony. love thy neighbor... but your neighbor is Christ... if, love thy neighbor means: everybody... than Jesus died for nothing, for we would not be free but still under the law... ignoring what IJohn4... Lukas 10:25-37 is about the Good Samaritan... but the good samaritan is Jezus... and if we read verse 35-37 good you should know its about loving Christ, not the neighbor next door. The Samaritan (Christ) helped the man whom fell into the hands of the rovers (meaning us) love Christ, he proved grace... (though i am still not saying that even faith is a law) Ephesians 4:28 saids: whom is a thief, doesnt steal anymore... its not a law, its commen sence, it logical... what works through the Agape. agape is never imposed... just have faith and you may fallow to do the same thing... just like Ephesians 2:1-10... dont boast about love, since your saying its an act you must do... I was an fire ,radical all out for Jesus celibate disciple for 22 years , my first marriage broke up & I was broken hearted , damaged, though I was saved soon after & jesus began healing me,. after 18/9 years I felt marriage would help me, although I had some high opinions about how strong in faith, & love I was. after 5 years of waiting, prayer , I met my wife to be & this last 11 years I have been learning to love . I have had to lay down more life more than once daily. God chose a wife for me & only by grace , can I say that only God has kept us together. .... Yes MegaDoug, it is a big question, for I know I need to Love . the greeks have 4 words for love & I must shine be strong in each form of love. Only Love will win this world.
