Gnashing it’s teeth together. Repeating the screams it heard the moment it escaped, either to taunt me or to fool me. It’s outside the door now. I can hear it scraping. EJ: "Looks like an old Prometheus sir. Which seems fitting." LJ: "Don't know what they were thinking, naming a ship after a being tortured all his life." CM: "...indeed. Well, any safe entrances?" EJ: "Several, sir. Marking them on the display." CM: "Hmm. She looks old, but Dreadnought parts are built to last. What's the dating on her?" EJ: "Can't tell with external scans, but if you want my professional estimation, about thirty years old." AI-V: "That's a lot of high-quality engine parts Captain. I bet her Nav systems are still pretty intact as well. I can see the bridge from here; hardly a scratch." CM: "I see...and the chances of infestation?" EJ: "Sir?" CM: "You heard me Ensign." EJ: "Well...we're a long way from any IAF listening stations, and the Kronos systems. But you are the Captain here." CM: "Hmph. Lieutenant?" LJ: "We are pretty far out...way on the edge of explored space even, not just unclaimed. I'm...pretty unsure. There's no telling how she went down from here. With that big rip on her stern, the scrapper in me wants to say a high-velocity asteroid her sensor's couldn't detect or ADGs couldn't take out in time. Then after she started drifting, the rest of her ADGs when down and, well. That was it." CM: "And the IAF Commando in you?" LJ: "As long as there's one parasite left in the universe, anything is possible." CM: "And the risk?" LJ: "...I'll lead the first team. My own boys, with our old gear. Only thing outdated is the sensors, but in this floatin' junkyard they won't be much use at all. We'll explore as much as we can, real thorough, then report back." AI-V: "It is a very dangerous choice, with a high mortality rate. Despite their methods of "recruiting" thousands of soldiers every year, the IAF only asks for volunteers for their Power Troopers. Though they try to soften it with very high benefits. Over one million credits per year, high quality quarters, state-of-the-art weapons, armor, and supportive equipment that can be kept by any Trooper who leaves after just three years of service." EJ: "...Jesus. I can see how that's tempting." LJ: "What they don't tell you is that you're likely to go on at least a single mission every month, probably to an infested hellhole that used to be a bustling colony or quiet station out in the middle of nowhere. It's gonna be filled to the brim with bugs and biomass, parasites everywhere, multiple queens, tripods, and shield bugs. Hundreds of them if you're luck. But most likely thousands, and it's up to four Power Troopers and a single Operator in a gunship to figure out how to kill them all." CM: "..." LJ: "I've seen so many people on my down time or during celebrations who look at me in my Power Armor and my heavy assault shotgun, carrying enough explosives to blow several city blocks and then teleport out of there with Gen-3 Blink Pack. They think I'm a real hero. I'm unstoppable. The truth is, all that equipment does nothing but buy you a few seconds against the swarm. It's up to you to make those seconds count." EJ: "...I'm sorry I've ever doubted you. I thought you were just telling ghost stories to keep the cadets from getting lazy." AI-V: "I have notified your squadmates and prepared a boarding craft. By my estimation, this salvaging operation will take several weeks. We already have enough supplies, however." CM: "Well! That's good to hear. Thank you Valk. Jacob, you should get ready I think. Personally, I know we're far out from IAF help. But we're also far away from any swarm-infested territory. I'm feeling optimistic." EJ: "Right. I'll keep scanning, check for anything-um, unusual." LJ: "I'll get ready. Sorry for spooking you. Me and my boys know how to spot an infestation, even a small one. If we see anything at all, we'll bug out away. No pun intended." CM: "Hmph! I know three things about derelict ships. 1. NEVER BOARD A SHIP DERICT IN SPACE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! 2. Always expect the worst wether it be a contagion, xeno, or other threat. 3. Never split up on a direct vessel as you do not know what systems, rooms, or other things in a ship have been compromised and so always keep safety equipment on and avoid damaged areas as much as possible. Also bring a flamethrower as it always handy to have if your facing some form of xeno if there is suspicion of such.

En fait je tiens cette idée d'un jeu que tu connais peut-être tant on en a entendu parler : Call of Duty bo2 où il existe une mape zombie (buried) dans laquelle on retrouve ce que j'ai cité plus haut et je ne sais pas pourquoi je trouve qu'il y a un côté relaxant dedans. Peut-être pourrais-tu aller voir lorsque tu auras du temps et si tu as envie bien sûr histoire d'être un peu plus inspiré par l'idée car je sais que c'est assez précis et un peu farfelu aha. Date: 26/8/2356 (Sol Timeframe) Event Name: The Clash Above Epsilon Description: The Final Duel between the Old Galactic Confederation and the Crimson Empire over the planet Epsilon Theta. Over 1,000 ships were present during the battle, roughly 600 belonging to the OGC and 400 belonging to the CE. The Battle lasted for roughly 60 minutes (Sol Timeframe), with the total spacecraft losses being the biggest in Sol History, with the Battle of Terra III coming in second. The Epsilians below had activated their Atmospheric Destabilizer minutes prior before the battle begun, generating a massive superstorm that engulfed the entire Mesosphere of the planet. This was believed to have been done as a defensive measure against both sides, seeing as the Epsilians are a neutral party. The Crimson Empire, though having a smaller armada, were in possession of a Exelleron Dreadnought that harbored a Class 4 Superlaser, enough to destroy a landmass the size of Australia Prime. It was used twice to destroy roughly 40% of the OGC’s total fleet. However, the Dreadnought was eventually destroyed by the OGC, which generated an Energy Wave 10,000 km in diameter, creating a dead zone in the field which disabled all ships within range. The Field caused all remaining ships in the battlespace, both from OGC and CE, to lose control and become immobilized permanently. 90% of the ships were pulled by Epsilon’s gravity and plummeted through the stormy atmosphere and crashed onto the surface below, killing 95% of all Epsilians in the process. The remaining 10% of the derelict ships had drifted off into deep space, with the crew members having long since fled or perished. Here, you can see the Valiant Fist, an OGC battle cruiser, drifting near the Gorvian Asteroid Field. End of Log.

All systems are nominal, haven’t spotted an error in days wait what th..*Corruption detected in video file* oh god, something’s in the ship, I just saw Simmons get dragged off by something. *Video Corruption* we managed to make it to the escape pods, What the, where’s the rest of the damn escape pods. These things only fit 10 of use. “End of log 1 Log 2. Some of us managed to get into the pod after those things, I saw a creature burst out of the Captains chest when we found him, I’ve managed to find another escape pod, those things broke into the escape pod room. I managed to slip away in the chaos, I haven’t heard from the others but I did see a escape pod launch but I also noticed one of those things in it aswell before the window was smeared in blood. The one escape pod I found is empty and I can use it to get out of here, What was th*end of log two* Log 3. I launched the pod, something with a damn huge crest broke into the room, before I escaped I did put the reactor into melt down, their hive was huge, how long have they been onboard. One of the things nailed me, I hope I patched it good, if I don’t make it, whoever finds these logs don’t and I mean don’t go to the USS Brazing dawn, only death and carnage lies there now* end log Corruption Detected.*

*static and garbled noises* This is the final log of the last surviving member of the UAC Dreadnaught RESILIENT. *Sigh* it's been about .. two.. three weeks? I don't know.. easy to loose track of time with everything that has happened. We were going through the unexplored system... XB.. fuck if I rember, I'm not nav or bridge crew. But the system we were going through was supposed to be the last place the UAC ICARUS had been before it just vanished. We uh.. apparently right when we get out of the Warp we get blasted with some radiation storm from the blue star in the system. Fried most of the onboard systems. Damn lucky the captain had us up and ready before we dropped out or we would have died in our sleep... Heh.. knowing what we were about to face.. that would have been preferable. So after we settle we finally see the ICARUS. Something... Just seemed wrong with it. Just looking at it made you feel like your stomach was dropping through. I , with second and third squad went on a recon .. the things on that ship I - *transmission static and jump in log* -onsterous... No sane human would conduct ... Thoes horrors on people.. that's when we felt it. . the eyes watching us. Like.. little bugs crawling all around you.. and then the bastards that did this came out of the woodworks.. the must have been hiding in the walls, floors vents anywhere... But I still don't know how we didn't see them on the scans... Like they were already dead... I saw guys I've served with for years get ripped apart and shredded like Nothing.. no matter how many times when shot them they kept coming untill they were meat... about half of us were down before we relished we needed to pull back.. the LT. Closed the door and looked the most of them out to give us a head start... The Captain... That bastard.. if I knew he was in on it I woulda... He knew and it was all "expendable losses".. he kept driving us deeper into the ship for that fucking artifact.. Simmons, Ramone, . . . Taylor.. they all fell to the horrors on that ship. There were survivors you know? Survived just long enough to let us know what was happening.. I didn't believe believe that voodoo bullshit until I saw it . Something about this exact system... This place ... They were trying to bring back what they called... An old one. Some... Lovecraft nightmare that I.. I ... We uh. Me , Vickerns, Han, and Brice.. and the scientist . She said she was Ansli .. doc Ansli.. we found the source and stopped it I think.. we made the right choice .. we need to do this... Han and the doc were in the reactor core setting it to blow... I just have the command to give from this console.... To anyone who ever gets this transmission... Stay away from here and seal this sector away... This place is wrong... So wrong... Heh.. the reactor should blow enough to stop... Whatever this all is.. Ending transmission..

Out here in the Dark Sector Frontier strange phenomena and...........events take place that not even the most advance science can answer, so like the explosers of old superstitions and myths are all we have left to make sense of the Unknown. Its should have been the Score of a Lifetime but in reality it was a Something else........Something that is best left to the Voids of Space, Forgotten and Lost. The job was simple, find resources or map out new routes........what we found was something more. An old derelict Dreadnought probably from some old war, I forget or didn't really care, drifting around an asteriod field. We scanned and hailed the vessel but no response or any signs of crew on board so we did what any Scrapper or ShipBreaker would have done..........we boarded it. From there an Everlasting Nightmare and Hell waited those foolish enough to enter its godforsaken gates. The crew knew something wasn't right and they knew that this was no ordinary ship.........but by the time we found out its dark secrets it was already too late.............one by one it took them and each one it took only gave way to some impending sense of Death. Now we are down to just a few and I feel as though it will be fewer by the time I finish writing this log.......................To those who stumble upon this log TURN BACK AND LEAVE......there is no hope or treasures to be found here..........only the lingering resentment and cold uncaring disregard of human existence.........I can hear it calling now the screams and cry of the anguished..........Beware of the Call of the Siren for she will lead you into Snatching Jaws of Scylla or the Crushing Maw of Charybdis. A Databank Log about Terror Troopers from Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 that is somewhat fitting. "Transmission from suspected privateer vessel 'Band Light' (intercepted): We found a derelict Etti-class drifting near Ord Mantell. Initially, we thought we were lucky. After the mess with the last job, seemed like a free piece of floating booty was just what the galaxy owed us. Turned out it wasn't lucky at all. Nix, my second, got himself on the wrong side of an airlock. Vacuum did a real good job on him. Wasn't much left when we got him aboard. Dumb way to go for an experienced fringer. It was even worse for Red. A corridor collapsed near life support and a length of pipe impaled him to a wall. Doesn't explain why he was eviscerated, but accidents happen. Then there was Pend. He was checking out a ventilation shaft near the galley. I've heard of smugglers stashing stuff there, where the freezers mess up scanners. He was beheaded... messily too.
