Simon Davies - Met my ex at Bakers, they used to have some good DJs on there, I used to love the old outdoor area where you could have banter with the rockers that were coming out of XLs (I used to go there too when I was a metal head). Then there was Stoodi Bakers (now the closed down legs 11) for pre club drinks. I loved my house but wasn't a regular at Bonds for Moneypennys - although went to it at Libertys, I was into my trance/hardhouse & drum & bass down at the Med Bar in the Custard Factory, back when they used to drain the pool & use that as outside dance floor. We used to do Godskitchen or Sundissential in Brum, then drive all the way up to Sheffield to meet our Crasher Kid friends & go to Insomniacz, followed by The Howard pub where Eddie Halliwell used to scratch DJ hard house before he made it big. Of course my fav club was Gatecrasher, not the Birmingham abomination that turned into a regular cheese nightclub, but the Republic in Sheffield. Funnily enough, Gatecrasher started in the Midlands & was at Bakers for a while. I went to Gatecrasher Don Valley Stadium event for Millennium Eve, 25,000 freezing our tits off but what a night. I look back now 20 years on & wonder where it's all gone. My older mates used to tell me of the days of 24 hour sessions at Tin Tins followed by The West End Bar.

Early 2000s I was drunk walking up the Hadley road after a night up broad Street an had to pop behind some apartment's for a piss by the bins. It was quiet when I entered the place an by the time I'd finished an started to head back the way I came I was two matt black BMW's an several characters standing around, I had to pass them as it was the only route out an when I passed the apartments it was clear there was easily over 50 plus of them standing outside, the cars were full an a bunch of them were at the door of one of the ground floor apartment's, I didn't make it obvious taking notice but when I had passed the car one of them asked who I was, I told him I went around the back for a piss an he said you better carry on where you going, I told him you ain't gotta get yourself concerned with that I'm off. He didn't reply an I expected to get jumped. Whatever was going down at that apartment wasn't a simple meeting as I heard shouting when I walking off.

The Whole legal system get an excellent living out of the whole drug scene and do not want it to end at all. The countries that have legalised drugs have instantly and ever since seen a massive drop in all crime figures as much as 85% I believe, best thing Britain can do is to legalise drugs but it would put a lot of police and lawyers and judges and prison officers and criminals out of work. Should be able to go to chemist's and pay 50p for your daily drug. Ps I don't take them.
