I use Cerave vitamin C and Sunday Riley high dose retinol. I don't use my retinol with another moisturizer as I have oily skin but I would be interested in a combining my daytime vitamin C with a moisturizer. Btw, I also use a glycolic acid pad peel daily before my vitamin C. I don't' use it at night as it has vitamin c in it and I don't want it to interfere my retinol regime. good thing is with oily skn as I already have a glowy complexion that everyone compliments no need for that La Roche B5 serum for me.

You know what I’d love to hear about - for guys who shave there face how does that affect skincare on the face with adding Vitamin C and/or Hyalauric Acid how long should you wait to apply anything cause sometimes it burns since pores are open etc. what about Retinoids etc that should be a video and I have yet to see it from anyone

Shaving is a form of exfoliation so active ingredients should be avoiding a few days leaving up to and after shaving. Its not based on pores because they physically don't "open/close". Its about increased sensitivity after shaving that can make ingredients less tolerable

Curious, on the subject of peptides.. I was debating between using DRMTLGY Peptide Night Cream for my face and Necessaire The Body Lotion for my body (both of which contain multiple peptides) or going straight Kiehl's, using their Ultra Facial Cream for my face and their Creme de Corps for my body. I chose to go with Kiehl's. Slightly reconsidering my choice because with DRMTLGY and Necessaire you're getting peptides, with Kiehl's you're not. But are they still good products for your skin? Like you said, we're using our hard earned money on these products and I want to make the best choice for long term results. I am using Rx tretinoin every evening prescribed by my dermatologist.

@marymckinney4472 Жыл бұрын
Vitamin C or retinal, should never come in a dropper bottle, only an air tight pump. Isdin sunscreen and Kiehl's ultra facial moisturizer with squalane are the 2 most expensive products I use. Isdin sunscreen also helps with photo damage already done to the skin and they won a Nobel Prize for that. Kiehl's moisturizer has an ingredient that helps the skin build it's own ceramides. The skin also doesn't produce q10 as much when getting older and for those who can't tolerate retinols Eurcerin makes a good q10 face cream and it does help with wrinkles. Hyaluronic Acid is influenced by the industry. Beta Glucan holds 4 times more water to the skin than hyaluronic acid. Also use a cool mist humidifier.

Dr.Drah made a video on different formulas and mentioned that you use the same anount regardless of the formula. Which is a pea sized amount. It can be helpful for it to be in a moisturizer for dry/sensitive people in terms of tolerance. Its easier to portion/use serums

You should try Differin now, 1.5 years is a long time - your skin should be ready to try something stronger and more concentrated

@@mea3665it’s not prescription, it’s drugstore. You don’t need a doctor for everything.
@sumlem11 ай бұрын
You don't necessarily have to go up to a stronger one because it depends on tolerance. Differin aka Adapalene is easy to use for years for texture, dark spots, acne. Retinol works best with consistency in general so a low dosage that you can use nightly might be better for you than a higher dose that you can tolerate less frequently.

But what would you like to call it? When all we use is a simple moisturizer then it's just skincare. The moment you incorporate active ingredients in your routine it is for prevention of wrinkles, dark spots etc that are the signs of aging. So it's anti - aging, exactly what our purpose is. Are we all going to age? Yes. Can we slow down the aging process of our skin? Yes. No matter how you want to look at it, it's anti-aging
@MollyBTubing Жыл бұрын
Isn’t it nice to know, though, what type of “anti-aging” you’re getting into with a product? Like are we going after fine lines? Are we going after dark spots? What is the active targeting and can we be more specific rather than a generalized anti-aging label. I noticed the first time he mentions anti-aging he comes in after with a list of the benefits of this particular anti-aging product.
