Wonderful video, thank you kindly. I am age 55 and have been vigiliantly taking care of my skin since age 18 with sunblock/hats/skincare. I appreciate you and a few other dermatologists advice. I have been able to maintain great skin with all the suggestions/product reviews/etc. Ps. I would love you to review the Rawquest milk thistle brightening ampoule. I use tretinonin for 2 years now and double cleanse and Korean skincare has been a game changer for the past few years as well. I have always prefered a mineral zinc spf too. ♥

I love your videos!! I was raised in Mpls, lived in Canada now New England and appreciate your strategies on cold outside & dry indoors winters!! Please do a program on morning routines for mature (70yo) tretinoin users. I wake with lovely calm skin but then struggle with daytime flaking or peeling and can't figure out if it's from layers under sunscreen, sunscreen choice (loving HaruHaru airlift), timing, or what?!? Happily, oil in nightly double cleanse is great for "reset". Thanks from big fan 😍😍😍

I have the same skin problems as you described. 😊 I also wake up with calm normal skin but by the end of the day it’s dry and scaly peeling. Unfortunately the only products I’ve found to stop that peeling flaky skin is from Tatcha 😩 but they’re so expensive. The Indigo night calming cream works so well to moisturize my skin. I even use it during the day. The Tatcha Dewy skin cream also works well. I just ordered two more jars of them. They are so darn expensive but they work so good. I hate having to buy them

I live in a very dry climate when it’s wintertime. Having a humidifier in your room while sleeping can make quite a large difference to skin dryness. It’s helped me quite a lot. I try to keep one going during the day when I’m home also.

I’m still skeptical about all of these never ending peptides. Only some have demonstrated potential efficacy on real human skin. A lot of the evidence behind these novel proprietary peptides is from observation of cells in a dish under a microscope. I’m not against them, in fact I’m excited to see what data we have even just 5 years down the line to show all of their benefits. However, these super novel proprietary peptides rarely have data that is collected by a third party. I can justify using the Cosrx 6 peptide booster for the price and it includes some of the more evidence based peptides like Matrixl 3000. Even with that product I wonder if niacinamide is doing most of the heavy lifting. At the end of the day, I see peptides primarily as the most cutting edge humectant - and that’s not to be discredited. The collagen synthesis aspect doesn’t really seem fully proven yet for majority of peptides though so a lot of claims seem bold.
@lindseystein967624 күн бұрын
I absolutely agree. A red flag usually pops up for me when I see “proprietary blend” in a description because the details aren’t usually transparent. I see that more in supplements, though. Also, the collagen synthesis you mentioned, even though topical collagen doesn’t quite do as these brands are typically saying, it still has moisturizing benefits to the skin. It seems like a bit of false advertising when some brands claim their collagen is comprised of “nano particles that can penetrate the skin blah blah etc,” when that, as of yet to my knowledge, isn’t quite true. However, it can still contribute to added moisture.

Happy new year! Just found your page. Here in Europe we have the UVMune 400. I have it but I think it made me look yellow in the summer. Now in the winter I think it's ok. But I find not to use any spf since here in Finland it's really dark during winter. It might take weeks when I don't see the sun. It's dark when I go to work and it's dark when I get off from work.

Dr. Jenny, have you heard of beef tallow? It’s going viral on social media but I’m hesitant to give it a try. What’s your thought on this product for face?
@saturdaycomeslowАй бұрын
Thank you for the video! I have to disagree about LRP Uvimmune. Its water-resistant texture makes it very unpleasant and practically impossible for me to use. Unfortunately, it’s one of the few total misses for me.

Thank you for all the amazing and helpful skincare guidance. There’s been a lot around clean beauty and what is truly clean. There are toxicologists talking about this. Can you address these claims from Ivon Burkhart - how much do we need to factor in real clean beauty?
@lindseystein967624 күн бұрын
The issue many have with “clean beauty” is that there are no set standards for it. It’s basically whatever each company wants. There’s also a lot of misinformation, such as “parabens (& other various ingredients) are toxic” when parabens are the longest used and most tested preservative. So much of the “clean beauty” world is fear mongering to sell new products

Is the Chinese LRP B5 Balm the PLUS version? If so, then the B5+ balm is available outside China. It’s not accessible in the US. However, you still can buy it from Korean shopping sites and other Asia countries. My mom shipped it to me from Vietnam to the US all the time. It’s smoother and offering better texture than the old version. I also have seen other Asian influencers talked about the PLUS version a while back.
@dr.jennyliuАй бұрын
I think the name is the same but the texture is unique to China from my understanding when I met with LRP China team this past summer in Shanghai. You probably could find it online

I might check her PM routine videos. I know I've seen her mention the Korean, Aestura ATO Barrier 365 Cream in one of her Korean PM beauty routine videos (Dr. Sam Ellis has also recommended it for dry skin). A couple other K-beauty creams I've seen recommended are CELIMAX Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream and Haruharu WONDER Black Rice 10 Hyaluronic Cream Unscented (this one is more of a gel).
