I love this product. Your review is spot on, a little greasy feel but no white cast and no issue putting makeup on over top. Insane price point, glad I stocked up as it sells out fast! Never bought the super goop….never will, price point is a barrier. TJ all the way! PS…love your channel, you have changed my skincare game! 🙏🏻

I guess skincare truly isn’t one size fits all. I LOVE this sunscreen and it’s become one of my go- to sunscreens. I never feel any stickiness and I love the velvety soft finish and how it doesn’t sting around my eyes. I’ve already bought 6 more lol. But hey, there’s people who adore Cerave and for me all of their products that I’ve tried have irritated my skin.

I ABSOLUTELY love this sunscreen. It’s the only one that I enjoy putting on every morning and wear as a primer!!! I was able to get 10 last year and have 1 left! I hope they sell it year round in az!

I use the Trader Joe’s regular (all body?) sunscreen on my face. It is SPF 30 & it is a white cream. Once on, it turns clear in about 5 minutes and blends in…very smooth and no sting under my eyes. I’ve been really pleased with it on my face.

Absolutely love this sunscreen. I have to agree. It is a little thick but very smooth. But I can agree it’s definitely hard to find. It’s easier to find in Cali but being we just moved it’s a little harder to find.

I use this as my sunscreen/primer. It is not greasy.. it is silicone, so has that eerie slip. I use the full 1/4 teaspoons for my face… then a Neutrogena spf50 dry touch for my ears, body etc I think the texture of silicone products give off that “ewww” reaction 😂..but I live the way my skin looks with that veil and I’m saving $ on my primer! Winning

Tried the TJ's, dig it in winter when snowshoeing or skiing in Midwest. Too oily feeling for nicer weather (for me). Recommend if you can find it, though

Just got this today,, I guess my white cast face was too much for my loved ones soooo I picked this up to try.. so much better than the one I was using before. I have dry sensitive dehydrated skin and I did not feel any irritation, only used once but so far good.. bonus people aren’t double taking my extra white cast face either

Thanks for this review! I have oily skin and don’t mind the texture of TJ at all! Mind you it’s cold in NYC and my skin is a bit drier right now so curious to see if I feel the same way when it’s hot.

I tried it & works great for my oily acne prone skin. I think you judged it a bit too early Dr. about how greasy it felt just a few seconds after you applied it. It feels like that for the 1st 10 minutes, but then it evaporates very nicely where it feels like you have nothing at all. Of course, that's my opinion, but that's the way this sunscreen works for me.

It just occurred to me that the uv filters are the older ones. I thot I liked Supergoop Unseen but it has since turned a little soft and it definitely applies greasy-feeling on the face. I would imagine that it feels drying on dry skin.

I thought I liked it but I soon discovered I do not lol. The texture throws me off. Feels like a lighter Vaseline in my hands that dries down more velvety than matte. It also stings my eyes like CRAZY! I remember literally feeling blinded by this stuff. I am using the rest on my hands.

Thank you doc for the music while you apply the SPF. The way the mic 🎙️ pics up the sound of you rubbing the SPF on usually sounds like sand paper over your stubble. Kind of like nails on a chalkboard.

Hello Dr. I am 20 years old. I started accutane last summer (1 year ago). I feel like I aged 10 years :( I am 3 months post treatment, will my skin ever go back to how it was ? I heard that isotretinoin, like retinoids, thins the outer later of the skin temporarily, but thickens the inner layer on the long run. Is this true ? I need hope 😭 I also heard that accutane continues to work up to 2 months after the treatment, should I still have hope that my skin will re thicken?. I've been using differin, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid since I stopped accutane and I reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours. Please help?

Hawaii is right to ban chemical filters as chemicals aren't good for the ocean/environment so makes sense. Perhaps the issue is vanity alone on the human spectrum. Besides zinc mineral sunscreens provide a heavy barrier to protect against UVA/UVB rays and many dermatologists recommend them over chemical sunscreens.

I've tried several sunscreens looking for a holy grail. I thought Trader Joe's sunscreen was it bc it really wears wonderful under foundation and is soft and smooth. But I noticed that I was getting sunburned even after reapplying! I thought maybe it was just me and I didn't reapply correctly. Kept on using it until I really got sunburned! I came to the conclusion the SPF on Trader's Joe's is not correct! Even after reapplying. I now switched to a Korean sunscreen I purchased off Costco Next, by Sophie Round Lab Birch sunscreen. I absolutely love it, completely disappears with little effort and SPF 50 ++++ wears wonderful under makeup. My daughters tried my new sunscreen and have now switched too! I might order off Korean websites if I can find it cheaper

OMG! This was the worst sunscreen ever! I had a terrible reaction! My face started stinging and turned bright red. In about an hour I had red welts all over my face! So awful!

Hey! I used this one for the first time in Miami and I agree that it feels greasy at first, but then it feels light. Also, my skin is prone to acne but this sunscreen hasn't given me any problems. The best thing is that my face hasn't burned since using it. I didn't know you should put sunscreen on your eyelids because I don't want it to get in my eyes. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes this sunscreen gets in my eyes though..🌞🧴👍
