Dr. Could you address proper facial care for men with beards? Especially those suffering from in gown hairs…
@JasminMiettunen3 ай бұрын
Exfoliating helps with ingrown hairs and exfoliating regularly should prevent them. Salicylic acid or glycolic acid depending on skin type.

I love your editing, it’s like a little trivia to help us remember the point of each kind of substance and the point of things you try to explain. Also, your explanations is easy to take in since they’re based, although it’s true that the world of medicine is ever so vast and always developing, still, I hope you’d be there to keep us updated through your vids. Really appreciate it doc.

Wow thank you so much. The Cetaphil gentle cleanser works better than the Cetaphil exfoliating cleanser on my dry and textured skin . I have found out at the age of 35 that when i turned 33 i started seeing the "T" zone on my face .I still havent come to a great conclusion moisturizer yet . The cerave lotion i dont like but i think im liking the CeraVe Moisturizing creme i guess i didnt think it would be so thick .i get self conscious about my face feeling masked . Thats why i cant wear makeup its so weird but yeah i bought the Cerave moisturizer creme and im going to try it out for this entire month so far i feel it makes my face appear clogged but maybe its just me .The clogged pores has damaged my brain for the past 😅 three years definitely went crazy 😧 when i looked in the mirror one day .I wasnt ready for skin change and aging to say the least Thank you for your sincere help ..you are definitely helping me

The gentlest cleanser I’ve discovered and never turned back is Vanicream. For days when I wear a little makeup I use micellar for removal or The Ordinary Squalane cleaner, neither which use water which also strips your skin further.

That gentle skin cleanser is fantastic and it goes on cheap sale at Costco a few times a year. I get horrifically burned eyes during pollen season and this cleanser is mild enough to thoroughly wash my eyelids and eyelashes every day. Great stuff.

You are very interesting and informative and I appreciate the way you are both factual but friendly t the same time. I also appreciate that you provide several different suggestions for products for each condition . It is so refreshing that you don’t just push ultra expensive products that not everyone can afford. I am glad I found your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos.

Enjoyed your video. I’m in my 50s and my skin started to get dry and I started getting dark spots. Started using the CeraVe line and my skin is so much better. Not dry after washing and the dark spots are lighter. I assume that’s due to the retinol face moisturizer and SPF. Keep the tips coming!

How is the CeraVe cream to foam cleanser for dry sensitive skin? Is the foam too drying or irritating? I was going to buy it but I read the ingredients and it contains salicylic acid, daily exfoliation would flake my whole face off. They refused to tell me the concentration of salicylic acid in the product when I asked in an email. Really turned me off from CeraVe, I feel like companies need to disclose how much exfoliating acids or retinol their products contain.

haha... I have super oily skin, but if I wash it twice a day, It gets tight and irritated and flaky... which slowly throughout the day becomes greasy, flaky skin. I'm still working on figuring it out.
@JadeT99Ай бұрын
My skin was like this before but now I cleans my face twice a day and never feel tight the key is a good hydrating cleanser mine is cerave I'm no expert but as far as I know your face produce more oil when it's lacking moisture so hydrating cleanser and hydrating moisturizer is very important

Hi dr! There are vids mentioned about putting antiperspirant at night.. but not discussed what to do in the am. We take showers also in the am.. do we wash the armpit and put deodorant (not anti perspirant) or not anymore? TY.
@jboib3 ай бұрын
Those vids mentioning applying at night likely assume you are showering at night. The important part js applying antiperspirant/deodorant when the armpit is clean. If you shower in the morning, apply in the morning.

Hi Dr. Daniel, thanks always for the useful tips! Can I ask if I can use vaseline if I have oily skin? Or should I just stick to a lightweight moisturiser instead?
@JasminMiettunen3 ай бұрын
If you don’t have acne, you can, but you don’t need it, it’s more for dry skin. If you have acne, slugging can trap oil and bacteria in your pores. Some people with acne swear by it but a lot of dermatologists warn against it.
