I have used The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% for the past 3 years. I LOVE it! I use it in the morning after VC serum just to boost a bit on my 60+ mature dry skin. I will apply day cream and SUNSCREEN afterwards. I love it gives my skin some radiance and keeps me hydrated throughout the day and I experience no irritation (some may).

I’m really liking the Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Serum. No irritation and really skin brightening.

Thank you for this!! Can you use Caudalie resveratrol lift with tretinoin?? Or can you use Caudalie resveratrol lift with vitamin C? (I use MadHippie's vitamin C serum)

I've seen something saying that resveratrol and green tea are good in combination with each other. Though some of the products I've seen with both of them in there are a little pricey (like Regimen Lab Vit X though it's cheaper than say Skinbetter). One of the Paula's Choice Super Antioxidant serums has both. Have you heard of the Maysama green rooibos pressed serum?

You are right about Paula’s Choice. I’ve been using the Ultra Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum as my only serum in the morning for many years. It has most of the antioxidants Dr Liu mentions, including a stabilized form of Vit C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate), Vit E, Niacinamide, Resveratrol, Hyaluronic Acid. It doesn’t have Ferulic Acid. However I follow the serum with the Accure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream (I know it says night cream but I use it in the morning) which does have Ferulic Acid, another stabilized form of Vit C, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Linolec Acid, and a plethora of peptides. I think these two multi tasking products together cover just about everything. Both of these products last me three months so the cost works out to about $20 a month, unless I get them on sale which I always do. I don’t understand why these two multitaskers don’t get more attention on KZbin.

I've seen the acure recommended as a more cost effective version of the DE protini but I can't remember which skincare channel that was.@@paulachristie7807

@@cv7958you wash with it for a min and can leave on for another min or two before rinsing. That's how you use any cleanser with actives

That was a helpful overview of antioxidant greatest hits, lol. I often see CoQ10 as part of these lists. What do you think of CoQ10? I really like Timeless CoQ10 serum. It also has alpha tocopherol, aloe, and matryxl 3000. Are some forms of vitamin e considered more effective than others?

Does the other antioxidants also need to be within a certain percentage like vit c (8-15%), in a product in order to have the antioxidant benefits on skin?
@dr.jennyliu
@dr.jennyliu Жыл бұрын
That’s a good question and we don’t know because vit c is really the only one that has been studied well, otherwise niacinamide 2-4%

Do you recommend the Skinceuticals RESVERATROL B E serum or should I save my money and use the ordinary ?
@jessicahitchens6926
@jessicahitchens6926 4 ай бұрын
If you want to try Skinceuticals I'd recommend it. If you can tolerate a higher L-asorbic acid and don't break out much, go for the 15% in Skinceuticals. I worked with that brand it works. Then you can use the Ordinary afterwards.

I like your videos - very educational. But I am not comfortable with you including paid advertisements for products in them - I want no conflict of interest in dermatologist product reviews.

Then go away? The premise of the video is obvious from the title. Find someone else giving you free professional advice with no sponsors rather than telling creators to change their content to suit you. Unreal entitlement here
