Dermot O'leary gives an interview to Phillip Schofield and former Xtra factor presenter Holly Willoughby on This morning, just before the first live X-Factor show. He discusses Gamu Nhengu, Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel, about Cheryl Coles death threats, new xtra factor presenter Konnie Huq and also reveals there will be an exciting twist!

@4znwarrior10 Um i think you might mean Britains Got Talent, the hosts for that are Ant and Dec. Dermot has been the only host on the X-factor since series 4 in 2007 to series 7 in 2010. The host for series 1-3 was a lady called Kate Thornton.

It makes you realise just how sad some people are to get so involved with these shows. As for the 'toilet attendant' incident....Cheryl would've knocked her out had she been white, I'm sure. It was over a lollipop, the woman pissed her off so she hit her. It was just a coincidence she was black....sh*t happens.

@kinganarkzie I was disappointed that Rebecca had Cheryl as a mentor. Some of the songs she chose were awful. Rebecca's voice needs Soul or Motown-and I'm sure she would make it sound modern. Distant Dreamer was perfect for her - i would have bought it for sure - hope we still can.

Jesus christ i have lost all respect for this man. I use to think he was a reasonable person but hes just a lacky. Hes trying to give credibility to Cheryl's decision because he is protecting his own job and career. Think about it, if he criticized anything about the show he would be gone... just like that.
