I must say that Dr. Schultz advice is pretty accurate and works. About 7 years ago, I took heed to his advice and diligently applied his knowledge for 4 years straight. I had practically perfect skin. It was even toned, smooth and no breakouts. The moment I started dating (and eventually marrying) a smoker and started smoking myself, my oil/water skin type changed. I went from super oily to dry. I had never had dry skin in my life. My body was still oily but my face progressively became the Sahara desert. I guess I was in denial about my skin changes. I thought it was some sort of fluke and my skin would return to its normal self. That was 3 years ago and I am still dry. Eventually my skin became sensitive and I felt it was best to try all natural skin care practices like that of Living Libations. Mind you, that type of skin care did not seem to work in the hot humid south. Two years ago I moved to Colorado and the all natural skin care did wonders for my skin. I was still smoking too . Now I've moved back to Alabama, divorced my husband and quite smoking. My skin once again laughs at the natural skin care routine. It took about a year, but Im no longer super sensitive either. I think that I'm going to try his method again taking in consideration my "new" skin type. Overall, I learned that being consistent with a routine night and day and not having too many products works. Dr. Schultz does give you options with what products to use. I was simply trying someone else regimen suggestions, but my all natural routine was pretty similar to his except no exfoliant. Also, his suggestion to change products according to the seasons and even environment makes total sense. I initially didn't do that. Now I have seen first hand why that is important.

I don't know about premature aging but for getting unclogged pores. try getting pore strips and deep cleansing facial cleansers. also do a steam facial once in awhile. just take a bowl, fill it with boiling water, mint leaves/ lemongrass, citrus juice or cinnamon and put your head above the bowl with a big towel draped over your head for a couple minutes. in this doesn't work then I would get isolase or a dermatologist.

well. i did this a couple years ago. at around 10am - 12pm I took my finger (clean, no lotion or anything) and swiped my nose, chin and forehead (known as T zone) if your finger is shiny and kind of greasy you have oily skin. if your finger comes out with a small tiny TINY amount of oil and your face feels soft and smooth you have normal skin. if your skin felt like chalk on a chalkboard or flaky(like mine) you have dry skin. if one area is dry and another is oily you have combination skin.

What is antioxidants products that you can recommend and also exfoliating products.

What kind of antioxidant can one use? I have read that the expensive vitamin c serums are highly unstable, so they aren't as effective as they are advertised to be.
@ShawnaCostonPhD8 жыл бұрын
Thats for all skin types period. However, most dark skinned people don't think they need sunscreen. Do you think that's true. I don't. Put I do a deep pore cleaning, collagen, vita C and Vita E. A formula I put together. Like food chemicals other chemicals can also damage the Brain as well. So when you think of health. The skin, is very important to care for first then your food intake. The more natural or organic you go. The less problems with skin cancer or skin irritation products. Cover your entire body out doors and keep your hands clean at all times.

I think the best thing for you is to stay calm and do what @mguygh did which I think was taking accutane or get isolaze which is this skin vacuum that sucks the bacteria out and prevents new bacteria from forming. isolaze takes a couple of series of appointments for results though. accutane is HARSH

I have a wheatish complexion. When I first started shaving my facial hairs (the beard and moustache area), my skin in that area turned much darker. I follow the proper shaving techniques and use good skin care products (Lab series razor burn relief), cleanser, toner and moisturizer with SPF-15 as a daily practice. However, nothing makes it lighten back to its original color. I was advised by a derm to shave gently and avoid exposure to the Sun. I am never out in the Sun! Could you please help?

Choose the best moisturizer for your skin type. I recommend a gel-type that dries quickly. Not moisturizing leads to the large amounts of the releasing of sebum

I have that problem too. I found Joy Nerida's videos and she mentioned bioflavinoids. In the comment section, she recommended Rejuvi bioflavinoid complex. I just bought it and this is the second day and it seems to help. Also Shiseido has bioperformance glow serum but a lot more money so I went to try rejuvi first. Hope this helps. Also it seems like grape seed extract is a good ingredient
