Encounter is SOOOOO much better an the Atari 800....

Atari fanboy? Well same here, and objectively it is better, smoother and more colorful - more dynamic colors and variety - Encounter is amazingly well suited to the advantages of the A8. Still it is pretty phenomenal for '83 on either case. I also think the Atari sounds are perfect, but C64 is still above par. Technically the game is way ahead of it's time period.

Certainly wouldn't say "SOOOOO" much better. Certainly better on the A8, but still an awesome game on the C64 and just as exhilarating a gaming experience. I've played both versions extensively, and found no significant differences in core gameplay.
