0:41 stirs something in me that brings me back to the good old 1980s... simpler times! Great gaming times! That picture with the druid and the skull and the lush landscape... makes me feel being kid again, playing on the C64 in the 80s. Having exciting adventures on the computer, and outside in real life.... Dat nostalgia!

Great looking classic C-64 game, kinda reminds me of Gauntlet. Definitely going to give it a try on the trusty C-64 Maxi. Thanks for the gameplay my friend, good stuff!

Back then Druid, now we have Diablo and it's basically the same game after all these years. It's crazy cool to see the roots of it all again.

That title screen made me love purple and green together. Any time I wore a purple shirt, I'd wear it with my drab-green jeans.

Mostly remember the soundtrack but had some fun with this one back in the day.

loved playing Gauntlet at the arcade but this was the closest thing to it to play at home.

Back in the days before internet in early 1980's as a youngster this game was my dream to own but could never afford it. I watched video of this and the game is basically a Gauntlet clone. Most games from that time was basically the same, side scrolling platformers.

Gauntlet was a clone of Dandy for the Atari 8 bit machines

This game is just great! If I want to play something alike it but more modern, what would I play then?

Shameless Gauntlet clone is shameless Then again shameless cloning brought about one of my favourite C64 music and graphics ideas in Bombo (clone of Bombjack) edit- on second thought it might be a good game on it's own merit. never played it myself

That is actually very funny. I never ever thought about Gauntlet when playing/watching this game, but you're right. It's a shameless clone. However, enough originality and personality, that it's quite alright regardless.

I wouldn't call it a shameless clone. It can been seen as inspired by or possibly a derivative work, but not a clone. A clone wouldn't have different mechanics, as this does. Gauntlet: 4 players/characters Druid: 1 player/character (2 players via a Golem spell) Gauntlet: Endless looping of mazes Druid: Purposeful maps that are explored on a journey with an end Gauntlet: 1 type of weapon/ammo (per player) with unlimited ammo Druid: 3 different types of weapon/ammo with limited ammo Gauntlet: Time limit via health drop (quarter eater) Druid: Unlimited healing via pentacles. Not a clone, much like how Galaga is not a clone of Space Invaders.
