Before picking up oil pastels Graphitint pencils and rarely Graphitint pan paint were my most beloved media. I painted a full sketchbook with Graphitint and Inktense. You use Graphitint perfectly.

I enjoy graphitint, but I love that Chinese/Japanese style. If you look at oriental art the colors are more muted and earthy. I'm sure graphite wouldn't work for yellow etc. Maybe using watercolor pencils would work. I wonder if they would blend, ok? I have used white colored pencil to highlight. Thank you for a wonderful video. Your painting is beautiful. It's a piece that would definitely appeal to me.

I would say that both the watercolor and graphitint would blend well together. Only real difference I see is that watercolor is more matte and the graphite is a little shiny. When blended with water the graphitint does lose some of its shine but a little can still be seen. Using a white color pencil for highlight is a Great way to add a highlight. It was hard for me to not reach over to get one but I stuck it through with just using only the graphitint by itself. Thank you so much for watching and so glad you enjoyed the video, Yay! 😀 👩🏼🎨

After thought....I wonder if using a UV spray and UV glass would help prevent fading. I don’t sell art, but I sold a couple of soft patels that someone begged me for. I made a lable do not place in sunlight to prevent fading and glued it on😂

It’s varies I’ve heard from artists that say even with light fast products it only works if you store or hang up paintings in museum light settings. If it is more light than a museum setting it could still make the painting fade pending on how much light it is exposed to. What you did for a label is what I do also and lets others know that even with UV protecting glass or Spray to use caution just in case it does not work in direct sunlight. Better safe than sorry and yes keep out of direct sunlight no matter what. 😃👩🏼🎨

@dcfineart1562 Good point. Museums are highly light and temperature controlled. Sunlight will fade anything over time.

@@dcfineart1562 THE GRAPHITINT ARE 100% LIGHFAST WITH ALL EXCEPT 2ABOVE 8 (I THINK THATS THE MAGIC NUMBER) ON THE BLUE WOOL SCALE. THOSE OTHER 2 ARE AROUND THE 5 OR 6 MARK AS WELL.

19 out of the 24 colours are high;y lightfast. Hope that helps.

Kyomii yes I seen two different charts so I was unsure. This definitely helps too know you get majority lightfast for a great price! Thank you for sharing 😀🎨👩🎨
