Tennant played this role SO well that it was almost confusing to watch because the juxtoposition between who he is and this character is insane. His range is NUTS. You almost want to feel bad because its David Tennant. But its DENNIS NILSEN.

The real Dennis just annoyed me, he seemed just to talk at people, never listen and just be annoying, seen plenty footage, terrible True story and the victims and families should be remembered more than him. But the acting of it and drama, David T brings something extra on top of his personality that's genius imho. Great actor, and I watched the episodes twice. I honestly thought I wouldn't enjoy it at all. But I was totally drawn in by David's pure genius acting.

Do you mind telling me where you’ve seen this footage? The only footage I’ve seen of Nilsen are some home videos before the killings which only last about 30 seconds and another 30 second interview where he talks about the process of disposing of bodies.
