Well, the difference between Dr. Peterson and Destiny seems clear. He's had experience with the UN, as well as writing papers and clinical studies. He has a far more scientific mind.
@j8000
@j8000 14 күн бұрын
@idankpoaugustine1983 having a "scientific mind" does not qualify you for analyzing data sets in immunology. You know the difference between psychology and psychiatry, right? Which one of his papers do you think qualify him here? Your usage of "clinical" makes it sound like you're pretty lost. Data analysis isn't clinical work (and the kind of clinical work a psychiatrist does wouldn't help either way). I agree that Destiny isn't qualified either, but he isn't appealing to personal competence. He is appealing to the consensus of the relevant expertise, and the actions of multiple nations relying on said expertise.

bro, its kind of disturbing how you mimic gestures so accurately, vocal inflections, facial expressions etc. and also compose the tune to sonically depict the emotional gist of each moment, like where you place resolutions and do these moments of tension and then resolving again. Like its just so much, in a format where you can just make zizek sing anything and it would get the same amount of views. If you ever decide to prioritize quantity over quality i wont be mad. Because what you are doing here is completely insane. Very much appreciated

This is brilliant. Please do a musical version of Alex Oconnor Vs Dinesh Dsouza. While you're the musical genius and im sure you have your own criteria for picking sections of the debate, i really recommend the part where Dinesh tries to assert the Genesis story as scientific evidence for God's creation of the universe, and Alex retorts that the bible clearly says the earth was created before the sun, and then Dinesh forgets the order of the days of creation... i just... want to see that beautiful moment immortalized in song

@blootooth00
@blootooth00 15 күн бұрын
@kalebroberts5518 For sure, and im sorry your side was so poorly represented. Just like the evidence that Alex presented, no single debate or evidence is proof that the Bible or Christian position is false. The debate is just evidence that Dinesh is a fool and a grifter. A position which makes him dishonest towards athiests, and a shameful representative for Christians. And for that, he deserves to be songified so that we can all laugh together (;

Remember when he was so incapable of thinking with charitability towards the left, that he thought the entire climate advocacy movement (support by every single scientific institution) is a massive malicious conspiracy to murder the worlds poorest for the sake of maxist control or whatever (with no solid credible source calling it out despite the mountains of evidance something like this would leave and the massive incentives there would be to oppose climate regulations). Dude this is a masterpiece! I started quite skeptical, I don't like musicals, most people are very unhinged about this topic. But you made it so much fun to watch! Very entertaining and surprisingly accurate representation of the real hour long conversation! Kudos :)

Jordan Peterson v. Destiny:The musical is something I didn't know I needed, but now I have it. I have reached nirvana.

This is THE perfect demonstration why communication is heavily skewed towards emotional, reactive and misinformed opinions. "Peterson's" lines are so much more passionate and relatable, while the other side that tries to convey nuance and actual facts feel so forced, the lines are too long, the rhythm gets screwed up and is just simply much less cathartic. If I wouldn't understand the words, I would 100% percent side with poor "Peterson", who barely even has a chance to sing, but when he does it's so passionate and relatable. Gonna save this forever to bring this up when talking about the assymetry of communicating thruth. Great job!

Yep. Destiny and a lot of other creators have been discussing how to push their truth in the same rhetorical way thr right does. Its relatable for the majority because the majority is dumb

Yes, this or maybe it appeals to peoples emotions because they might be accurate to people. People do in fact trust that things work in observation again and again. When Destiny is asking "well what if the car does start on the 50th time, I just think "Well yeah that happens. Just look at some of the ford recalls where there breaks stop working. Peoples cars stop working all the time. And then on top of that, it does not seem too far of an assumption to think that there is more that can go wrong with a vaccine. Its probably more complex then a car when its being administered to every single person on the planet." I would not consider appealing to comfort of mass consensus as "nuance."

@@Justin-vq9co theres less that can go wrong with this vaccine. It can literally just cause an immune response just like the disease does. It just does a lesser response without the symptoms of the disease

@@Justin-vq9co Opposing the appeal to discomfort is not, in fact, an appeal to comfort. Every day we make compromises between the reasonably safe and the useful or convenient. And like it or not, sometimes regulatory bodies and the nerds setting their terms will determine that the relative risk of a thing is worth taking when compared to the potential benefits of said thing at scale. Even public drinking water was considered risky at first. Peterson's biggest flaw intellectually imo is that by questioning everything he ends up being reductive -- think of that annoying kid you babysit that asks a question and then proceeds by responding to every answer you give with "why??" or "what does that mean??" You end up entering a recursive loop where there can be no useful answers. And that's helpful if you're trying to push an agenda- -- you can endlessly discredit someone's point of view without ever coming logically to a conclusion yourself, which gives you free reign to suggest whichever reality you like. There's just not much real evidence that the vaccine is bad for people. If you want a real villain, look into DuPont's bio-persistant PFA chemicals and all the coverups surrounding them

It's incredible how far Peterson has deteriorated, the person he was years ago would have to, I imagine, be absolutely appalled with the way he conducts himself nowadays. For me personally my opinion of him changed entirely when I listened to his first Joe Rogan podcast years ago, I remember listening to it and then somewhere at the halfway point he starts talking about his religious beliefs and I remember feeling a total switch from trying to make sense to simply being emotional, entirely subjective and ignorant it really felt like I was listening to some sort of cultist.
