Descending "The Hill", near Bella Coola, British Columbia, Canada, November 11, 2021.

Ist time driving down, The Hill near Bella Coola B.C.. Taken in November 11, 2021. I was driving it down in a 2008 GMC Canyon pickup truck, 2 wheel drive and automatic. Good brakes, and good all terrian snow tires.
The sign at the Heckman pass before the hill said all vechile had to have chains on before entering the pass and eventually the hill.
I ended up turning around at that point and drove back to a rest stop and chain up area. To ask what the conditions were like. But thinking I had a long 5 hour plus drive back to Williams Lake.
I saw a 4 wheel drive Toyota pick up truck and what looked like some local Bella Coola native ladies. I notice they were not chained up. they asked if I had studded tires. Nope.
Just what I had. Quiet pause. that should be OK...just go slow. You see them pass me in the video.
But bring a set of chains if your coming in winter months. They also close the pass and hill at top and bottom entrances when conditions warrant it.
