Watching you do this is like vicariously living out my own fantasy to sing and play tool. I think I'd just break down and cry too much in the lyrics because of the emotional weight. It happens when I sing it to my stereo often.

I've never believed that anyone could play and sing Tool and do it well with all the intracacies. Let alone do it acoustically and absolutely nail it. This shatters my beliefs. Simply amazing dude.

Peter, so incredibly impressive! Thank you for continuing to produce this content. Curious, how long does it take for you to learn a “typical” piece (with the understanding that Descending is anything but typical)?
@peterspiker99602 ай бұрын
Thanks! Usually the decision to cover a song is spur-of-the-moment. It’s fun for me to think of a song I know and see how quickly I can arrange it for acoustic guitar. When I do songs I’ve known on guitar for years I tend to be going through the motions. Songs like Stinkfist and Parabola etc are still done like this, but stuff like Rosetta Stoned is worked on and practiced until it’s good enough.
@ikeworkman44492 ай бұрын

Playing and singing is amazing, but those high riffs are begging for distortion, so maybe its impossible to imitate them (with an arrangements) on acoustic guitar.

Your guitar playing is so perfect in every cover i watch. Your singing is good too. This is just my personal opinion and don't mean to be rude but my preference would be to hear a bit more emotion and feeling in the voice instead of trying to sing "correct" it sounds a bit robotic.
@coopersumrall80152 ай бұрын
Agree to disagree, I love his style and I think it fits perfectly with his rendition. Flawless.

Probably the best tool covers on KZbin, it's no way robotic IMO ✌️
@cannonbyron-dixon60732 ай бұрын
Taste is subjective, but beyond that, I don't understand where you're coming from. From an objective standpoint, he is, in NO way, singing this song, or any of his covers, the way they were originally performed. He is doing things in this song that very much make the performance unique to HIM. He is approaching the vocal line very differently than MJK, and in MY opinion, adding YOUR OWN creative element to a cover song is quite the opposite of robotic. This dude rocks 🤘🏻
