Would you be able to throw a small hog edit together? I want to see how interesting lasers could be if it were to shoot 1 laser at a time ie left,right, left, right Double the attack rate / half energy consumption to compensate. Quad lasers would shoot 2 lasers left, then 2 right?

The issue with this is that the way lasers fire is completely hard-coded. Alternating sides would require a modified executable. Also, a doubled fire rate would mildly break the balance of lasers due to being able to more rapidly stun the enemies by firing more times per second. ...as was my experience with trying it out. On the other hand, the most optimal way for it to work would be to fire 2 shots from the left, then alternate to 2 shots from the right. Quad lasers would speed up this process by causing both sides to fire simultaneously(normal quad lasers) without it breaking anything.
