Oh my goodness, I can not thank you enough for showing this side of the writing process. I've struggled for years with feeling incompetent as a writer because I write myself into corners and don't want to put in the effort to dig myself out. Every other writer I've seen on KZbin, posts these neat and clean writing sessions. There is never any plot issues. They don't ever struggle with hating how a scene played out, or not feeling like their story is good enough. Thank you for being real about what it's ACTUALLY like trying to write!

I am glad to know that I am not the only person who writes books and no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you always back yourself into a problem.... love the content and keep up the great work.

Writing interconnected stories is so hard! Hugs, my friend. I think everyone has RBF so no worries.

I mean, in fairness, it’s very hard to not interact with Stray Kids content! 😂 I’m so sorry for your struggles, Sarah! But watching you deal with continuity issues was one of the most relatable writerly things I’ve ever seen! 😅 The long series I’m currently working on has so many of these moments! But hang in there, you’ll figure it out! Your creative brain will probably hit upon a solution with some time to think about it! You’re doing amazing! 😆💜

I've done that with series, and other books, written the time line into a corner and its never fun. Hope you're able to get it sorted!

It sounds wrong to say this, but I enjoyed your video. It was so funny!

People always said I have RBF because my lips naturally curve down or they assume I'm angry or upset all the time. It's also partly because smiling isn't a natural thing for me it seems it takes so much effort and energy that I tend to keep my resting face though I do laugh and smile more now then I did as a child and teen.

You have scared me away from ever writing books that take place at the same time lol. Having to keep track of timelines like that sounds too stressful for me

Try writing down each timeline that takes place in the books that are interconnected to give you the option to see the full picture of the timeline as a whole. Maybe seeing a whole timeline of events from all of the stories can help you with your editing. Hope you figure out your timeline issues soon. Good luck! I'm sure you'll figure out what you need to! 😊

I'd agree with Cassie because writing things down on paper helps with getting things out of your head. This could work timelines as well rather than trying to think it out, you should write it out instead of getting lost within the books you are trying to write.

@@patricialivangood3748 Yes, in 2014 I brainstormed in my head never wrote a thing down. Revision was a struggle and half. I had no idea what I originally was going for. COMPLETELY LOST. Hope you have a good weekend Patricia! :)

I thought it would be fun to write a series where all the books happen at the same time. But it looks so frustrating.

It has its frustrating moments, but I think it is fun to see the puzzle pieces when they fit together!

"resting bitch face" is a sexist term and anyone who tells you that is not kind. PS your face is fine, resting or otherwise 💜
