Makes a pretty big difference considering you control how much you draw and all the card draw rogue has. More of a midrange/aggro card though. Drop this, it gets killed, myra's, then you get a 7/5 on the board for basically the rest of the game.

@@Maltesfilm This happens in MtG too. If it isn't a set mechanic or an evergreen (in every set), it doesn't get keyworded. So here Inspire isn't a set mechanic and going to be on a lot of cards, it seems to be just Hunter's mechanic, and it isn't the correct flavour for the set either; so they just write it out. Also technically keywording an effect can cause it to have unintended interactions, for example a future card could get +1/+1 when another creature triggers inspire (simple example), these cards are not intended to interact with a card like that so keywording it would cause issues.

@@oneviewer8206 Hunter is for bots. Every expansion it has consistently good cards that fit only in aggro and mid-range. Nobody has ever seen value or control Hunter work. It's pure aggro with few decisions. Mostly you play things on curve and once you run out of things you topdeck card draw and go on. Aggro players don't need brain to play, because they can't afford any diffrent playstyle. All Hunter players need to know is: A) Where is face. B) Which minions are more important than face. C) How to keep up tempo and keep hitting face. Fatigue late-game plan? Nah. Too much card draw? Nah. Playing around boardclears? Kinda... but anyone who ever played aggro knows you can't play around boardclears all the time, sometimes you just go all in and hope their RNG on card draw was worse than yours.

I'm actually worried about the future of arena when I see this set. We have 5 classes receiving cards that are "Good if you have Galakrond in your deck" which you won't, and the rest of the classes are "OP enough to make up for their opponent's having Galakrond" which they won't. Unless the arena meta is cards from Descent of Dragons rarely show up, then classes without Galakrond will be destroying classes that do.

Who cares? Just play arena. You can access all the cards there, it's more fun, you can do your quests there and your wins count towards golden hero/the thing for 1000 wins. There's absolutely no reason to play constructed.

It's not the same as constructed, but the only difference is that you get semi-random cards to play with. So do your opponents. Otherwise, the mana system, the cards and the gameplay are the same as in constructed. I stopped playing that to win like 4 years ago. Couldn't keep up.

So... maybe I’m just asking for trouble asking this, but... if the invoke effects can only invoke a Galakrond if you have a Galakrond... then does that mean that the Galakrond in your deck being invoked is directly what’s activating, for you to get the hero power effect? What I mean is... if you were rogue class, but the there’s a priest Galakrond in your deck, and you invoke, does it invoke as a rogue because you are a rogue or as a priest because Galakrond is a priest... and more so, if both Galakrond are in your deck, does it invoke both, or one at random?

Nope, I lied and you should ignore my last response. Just checked out the hearthstone site. Apparently you DO get the free hero power. As for if you have more than 1 Galikrond: it matches with your class OR whichever Galikrond was detected first by the game in your hand or deck and that becomes your "main" Galikrond. You can only change this by becoming the other Galikrond. Sorry for spreading disinformation; I'll edit my last response

Kripp, Call to Adventure searches for the lowest manacost, not lowest attack. AAND, Nozdormu gives you EMPTY mana crystals, not full. Your opponent will be the first one to bask in 10/10 mana.

10 mana could be rough but depending on what available if you can follow up with something stupid op your deck is built around or a board clear + something else good it could still be good. In addition you are dropping a 8/8 they have to kill or expect to smash whatever they play.

Waxadred is in your deck, so you can dictate what happens much more. Also we still have the dr weapon, so you can easily get multiple waxadred, and bath in value. Also the 3 mana tutor for paladin doesn't search for lowest attack, but lowest cost, which is a significant difference. The duel deck will love it.

Damn, deciding not to waste my dust on this expansion was the best move i did in HS, 16k dust and 9k gold ready for probably the most Op expansion HS will see (i have a feeling this experiment with printing such OP cards will be something blizz will never do after this expansion) so having the core cards of DoD expansion is a must for any decent HS player

I really like that we get all 5 Galakrond cards, but my main concern is pre-release. I like to open my packs early in a fireside gathering, but I don't want to open a copy of galakrond in my preordered packs since I will get them for free on release. Obviously, the easiest solution is to just wait, but I want to open them early if I can be assured that I won't get double galakrond in this way.

I already thought about OTK rogue that I might use for fun.. You invoke galakrond 6 times till his final.form, draw youe entire deck. Play malygos and toggwagle's scheme on him. You try to shuffle more than 4 malygoses to your deck. Next turn you play galakrond and draw out 4 malygoses that cost 0 ,you play them, preperation pedal leaves and deal 42 damage.. There are a lot more options with this..

Nozdormu seems like it has a similar limitation as Biology Project, that your opponent gets to reap the advantage first. If you play it on turn 4, you get 6 _empty_ mana crystals, while they get 6 _full_ ones.

While that's true, they get to spend that mana on removing your 8/8 (or 10/10 if you fished it out of your deck), so there's compensation for the 6 mana of extra tempo you give up.

Edit: I was wrong. The game tags the first Galikrond to enter your hand or deck. That's your "main" Galikrond and invoking uses your main Galikrond's ability even if you add more Galikronds. You can only change this by becoming the "other" Galikrond. The way I'm reading it, invoke will continue to give you free hero power uses even after you become Galikrond.

Don’t sleep on Waxadred. It’s a solid anti-fatigue mechanic for rogue that doesn’t require setup like Togwaggle’s Scheme. Since the candle should work across multiple dead Waxadreds, this will be great when duplicated.

Evasive drakonid (sp?) is going to be a sleeper op card that will be nerfed I think... In another game I play, elder scrolls legends, they have the exact card but he's a unique legendary I.e. Only one can be played in a deck as opposed to other legendaries which are a 3 of... Dudes been around since the beginning and I believe still sees play... I feel like most of those reviews neglect that, while yes, it's the last expansion of the standard cycle, this kind of powercreep will be insanely damaging to the wild format. And since I'm not looking to drop 50 bucks on this game everytime an expansion comes out, wild is the only competitive mode I can play (unless battlegrounds gets giant amounts of new content)

Cuz no matter what i play I'm just gonna be up against Galikrond all day every day, and though some of the "good" cards are definitely cool, invoke and Galikrond are wayyyy better. Like I said, I'll definitely try it out for a while but it seems to me this is gonna make playing any "good" hero a practice in futility.

@@melgibsonero This new expansion is so centered around Galikrond Synergy. Almost impossible to play a competitive Galikrond deck without spending loads of money/time and almost impossible to win against one with any other deck

Insane power creep. I`d imagine Galakrond cards will not be in arena, same as C`thun cards, so "good" classes will be broken in arena.

Kinda seems like it won't be very fun to play as a "good" class pretty soon.. Doesn't seem to be any reason not to make a Galikrond deck with these crazy cards. I'll definitely give it a chance but I'm feeling some trepidation here..

why do you think azure explorer is insane? okay, can discover a dragon and does +2 spell damage, but it isn't too slow at 4?

It's the mage value, you get reload with the discover, a body on the board and +2 spell damage. It's practically a soft taunt because mage has insane burst right now with low cost spells and flamewakers, leaving that body up is essentially asking for your own death.

Oh wow you get to draw two cards when the Rogue just drew four and set them all to zero. Also assuming you did not attack already that turn, you can instantly use one of the attacks, so generally you are only drawing one card off of Harrison and your opponent just got massive value. On second thought..... please do run Harrison. I want some free wins.

Just imagine that we used to have a 9 mana 5/9 can’t be targeted as a legendary card, and now we have a common 7 mana version of that, Haven’t seen many people talk about evasive drakonid but it looks insane to me
