Beaded leach (basically like a wooly) and a golden stone fly were doing the trick!

Can you fly fish this river without floating/boating to certain sections? Pretty accessible? Heading here in a couple weeks

Extremely accessible pretty much has a trail down the entire side you can fish that isn’t tribal

Ya there are access points everywhere! Local fly shops in bend will tell ya what access points to go to as well! And some have small maps

Why does everyone use a bobber...why even flyfish, go get a spinning rod and a bobber and a worm.

Guide set us up with a dry dropper rig. Technically was using a foam hopper on the top. Basically the same thing as a bobber in this case. Whatever floats your boat.

The Deschutes trout fishery is regulated to sustain and enhance its populations of wild endemic fish. Only two trout per day between 10" and 13" may be harvested. Only barbless hooks on lures and flies are allowed. The use of bait is prohibited.
