Hi, everyone, I am Yan. Today I'm going to talk about one of my customers, she is eighty years old, she has short grey very stylished hair. Her face is an oval shap with crow's feet and wrinkles in front of her high forehead. She always smiles when she talks which is fast. I n my opinion, she is straight foreward person: once, she mentioned her husband was a dentist, but he had dementia a few years ago and lived at a retirement village not far from her apartment. we said we are sorry to hear it, and she said to us, don't be sorry, she is quite happy now. She has her health and has money. She just visited her husband once a week. Other times, she can do whatever, she wants to do.

Thanks for watching the lesson and sharing your response, Yan! Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) '...stylish hair,' not, 'stylished.' 2) 'shape,' not, 'shap.' 3) You might have meant, 'at the top of her high forehead,' or, 'in the middle of her high forehead,' rather than, 'in front of.' Hope this helps you!

Hello my name is Veha. Today I’m going to talk about my friend. His name is Rathanak. He is 17 years old. He is quite tall. He has black short hair. He is very skinny. He chiseled features with high cheekbones . He has freckles on his cheek and nose. I want to talk about him a lot but now I’m busy. Thank for reading my paragraph and don’t forget to correct my writing.

Thank you very much for this useful vocabulary. This is a passage to describe my friend. My friend is Jack, he is 19 approximately 19 years old. He has a curly black hair. His hair is shaved at the back and the two side, and swept to one side on left side. He has well-definded face looking. He has a faint winkle at his forehead as well as his cheek. When he smiles, he creates dimple which looks so lovely. He used to have a gut. However, as far as I know, he has been maintaining his healthy daily activities from eating, taking physical exercise and call it a day early. Recently, he owns himself muscular physique

YES Q2 could I say "He's going bald and has a receding hairline"? He's going bald./ He has a receding hairline. Q3 How do you describe someone's height? Could I say he is very tall, over six feet three"? Correction: He's very tall, over six foot three. Thank you.

@Oxfordonlineenglish1 4 жыл бұрын
Nice questions! Yes, you can say someone has a 'big belly' if their belly is big, but they're not necessarily fat. Your second question is good, though I would pick one or the other. For the third question, that is correct. However, the expression for height is: 'six foot three' and not 'feet'.

Thanks for another good answer, Diana. Here are some tips: 1) 'Almost all of my family members are fat,' or, 'Most of my family members are fat,' not, 'Almost my family members...'. 2) '...because she exercises hard,' not, 'does exercise hard'. 3) 'She has blonde hair down to her waist,' not, 'She has a long-to-waist straight blonde hair'. Hope this helps!

is there any order to describe physical appearance?

Hi there. If you are describing a person's complete appearance, it's common to begin with the general features first and then move to the more specific features. For example, start with the body overall, then the hair, then the face. Hope this helps you!
