These are basic "animated"captions and easy to use but when can users expect actual animated captions? captions that transition and pop and shake? Holding out for those but until then I will use the caption app.

My question too. My team is still taking from Descript and uploading into Capcut to get more enhanced "animated captions" - does Descript have plans to upgrade capabilities here? You guys are doing great work, keep it up!

@@blakebozarth2316 yes capcut is a solution and also the captions app does a great job. just the workflow of going from desktop to app can definitely add a “time suck” to the process.

I often just use captions fir say 3 words to highlight those words as important. Or for a term my viewers may not already be familiar with. Just turn the word or words into a scene and then choose a captions template. Sweet 😊

I found a big problem with Descript... (event if this function is working great) Scenario : I create a french video, Descript create the transcript in french. I show a transcript layer with big texts like in this exemple. I want to show the same big text in English while keeping the french voice (without the active word). Can't find a way to do it. (for the mobile, I do not want to use subtitles, I want to use big text burned in the video) Can you help me because this avoid me to translate in english...

I am new to Descript and I had a hard time following this video. For instance, after selecting T and selecting captions, you mentioned selecting timeline.. and then what? Am still unclear on how to create captions..

QQ: How to avoid a newline after "Dr." or "Sr."? I want to make "Dr." and the name together on the caption, but after a period "." the name gets separate from "Dr." and the name goes to the next line. How can I solve this issue?

Honestly? Editing very simple things is maximally unintuitive. I want to edit a word in the highlight and I've been looking for 20 minutes for an option on how to do it and I can't find a damn thing.

agreed!! I'm paying descript but finding editing the subtitles very unintuitive too!! Simple edits become very frustrating!
