great video. I did an exercise... the gloomy night photo.. Here is what I tried... The crescent of the moon barely lit up the smoggy city. The town had slumbered except for a few silhouettes of men visible against the dim moonlight. William trudged ahead staring at the spooky branches of the oak and the closed windows. It was ghost quiet except for the tapping of the ferrule against the rocky pavement. A flutter of chilly breeze stroked his long dark overcoat and almost wobbled his homburg cap. A stench of air from the open drain entered his lungs. He coughed loudly and the nightly wolves howled back in reply.

As I waited for green lights to turn to red so I can cross the street without much trouble, my ears were feeled with chatter of numerous people every overlapping the other making my head spin. There was still some time left before the lights turn back to red, I took this opportunity to admire the beautiful loftly building around me. As the lights turns it color, I walk away from this part of street to admire another beautiful piece by nature.

1. The crisp smell of trees and wet earth permeates my senses - invigorating and refreshing. The landscape before me is so still, I feel frozen in time. Like if I refrain from moving, I could become one with nature. Spalshes of pink and purple peek out from behind tall, proud trees. The scene blooms with life yet feels solitary enough to make me comfortable lose myself in it. I lean back on the bridge and inhale slowly. The hard wood digs into my back, grounding me. A soft breeze lifts my hair in front of my face, tickling my nose. The soothing silence is interrupted with the light sound of leaves rustling. I imagine the high-pitched chipping of birds with the loud rush of the river beneath me. 2. Tranquillity filla my veins as I happily burrow deeper into the warm, inviting sand. The morning sunlight gently strokes my face, lulling me to sleep with a mind-numbing intensity. Farther out, the sea continues to rhythmically crash against the sand. I can hear every rush of water. I pretend to be floatinf kn the water, continuously bouncing up and down. I lift a grape from the plate beside me. The moment I touch the round fruit to my mouth, a sweet tangy flavour fills my senses. I slowly chew so as to savour the liquid sweetness and soft texture. 3. Shivers rack my body as I behold the terrible scene around me. Placing a hard on the trunk of a gaunt tree emanating death, I try to steady myself. On the sidewalk, a man with his face shadowed by a top hat grins at me menacingly. Another chill goes through my body. RING! I jump at the obscenely loud sound of the clock striking twelve from the jutting tower on the massive hill. I have to stifle a terrified screm when I look at the horror of a castle beside the tower. The moonlight seems to shirk away from the walls so the castle appears to be ringed in darkness. Eveb from afar, the size of the castle is intimidating. Its tall spires pierce the midnight sky looking too much like swords for my comfort. I unconsciously take a step back in the cobbled street and bump into something. I turn around just to feel the blood drain from my face. A scream rips out of me at the sight of the skeleton swaying on the branch of a tree. Please tell me if these are any good and how can I improve.

As I walk through the bustling streets of New York, I see many tall and fascinating buildings, with flocks of birds flying over one building to another, and many people walking through different directions, here and there, in this busy but lively city. The fresh smell of bread from the bakery waves over me, making my stomach crave. I went in to the bakery and see a variety of delicious, and glazing colorful pastries. The taste of the pastry melts in my mouth, making me feel joyed. i think i went from describing a city to bakery goods lol i tried pls tell me where i need improvements.

As I wait for the red lights to turn green, the noises of the numerous people passing by each other and the screeching sounds of the moving cars take over the entire silence. The sun revealing itself from the horizon allows its warm rays to land on the blue wall mirrors of the buildings standing tall on both sides of the immense road in front of me. I stick my head out of the car window to feel the mild air brush against my face. Some of its particles land on my tongue filling my mouth with breeze. I don't know if this is good enough to create a clear image in the readers' minds but please give your honest suggestions on this piece of writing. Even if the suggestions are not very positive I'd still appreciate it.

1st one: Gradually, stepping foot onto the grass a soft crunch sound climbed up my ears. Softness tinkled my toes allowing me to feel welcome. I am greeted with such delight from the beautiful trees. Scented flowers escalated into my nostrils. It also sat there in packs smiling enjoying the bright weather. The colorful trees lit up bright like a candle. I was mesmerized. Soft breeze grabbed hold onto my arms, as the sun began to rise, it felt a joy of excitement. Trees began dancing side to side.

1st scene: As I walk through the fascinating garden, I am greeted with tingles from the grass and the smell of scented flowers. The bright, colorful colors of the trees and flowers glow under the beautiful rays of sunshine as butterflies dance harmonically to the sound of the soft wind. Sweet pollen flies gently into my mouth and lands perfectly on my tongue, filling me with the taste its delightful flavor. I feel every crevice of the warm wood as I’m walking along the small, moist bridge that stands above a puddle of water. 2nd scene: Sauntering across the coast, the delicate breeze hits my face ruffling my golden curls with its rhythm. With every step, my feet sink into the warm, soft sand, and salt flying with the wind hits my tongue infusing me with freshness. The sea sparkles as sunshine hits its waves while fish dance in the blue inducing calming, therapeutic sounds that fill me with ecstasy. The dazzling trees greet me by waving their branches transversely causing warm sand to fly at me.

As I walk through the enchanced forest, I am greeted with the fresh scent of flowers.Their bright colours emit diluted contrast compared to sunlight. Chirping birds merely flutter in the naval blue absense. The trees woe in the presence of orange rays. The warm borrow, conjured up from the sprouts of the trees themselves, give a feeling of aliveness as I walk calmly.

I could already felt the disgruntled noise of traffic. So I immediately tried to reach to the pavement.

Rose stood by the sea, staring at the bright moon that reflected off of the clam waves. Suddenly, the water grew a red tint that became more visible every second. Rose squinted in confusion. She thought she was seeing things, but no, she wasn’t. The sea was full of bubbles that would constantly pop after a few seconds. Rose stepped backwards a bit. She analyzed the waves as they grew bigger and bigger. Was it a tsunami? The breeze in the air started blowing against her jacket. She zipped her jacket to keep it on her. Suddenly, from afar she could see a humongous wave coming her direction. She gasped, and without no hesitation she began running as fast as she could. The breeze swayed and moved as fast as her. She saw a huge shadow behind her. She already knew what it was. A tsunami. She tried running a bit faster, but she was becoming exhausted and could barely breathe. She was determined to escape this wave before it could get to her, but surely there were tons of more waves coming her direction. She began seeing more citizens in the distance that appeared to be running away, too. She began screaming, ‘Everyone! Run, it’s a tsunami!’ People were recording on their devices and staring in amusement. She held tightly onto her purse and grabbed a phone out of it. ‘Shit.., I’ve got call my husband and tell him to get out of the house with the kids!’ She muttered to herself. She immediately dialed his number and waited impatiently for a response. He picked up. ‘Honey, I know this’ll sound crazy but a tsunami is heading our direction. We’re in danger. Take the kids and flee the city. Run as fast as you can. Don’t get in the car. There’s gonna be traffic. Tell the kids that mama loves them.’ Rose said to Michael. She was barely breathing, yet, still determined to make it out alive for her children. No Mother should wanna abandon their child. Especially if they have the opportunity to stay in their life. ‘Mama, I loveeeee you….!’ She heard a faint voice from the phone. It was her eldest daughter, Emily. She was only 4 years old. ‘Mama loves you-‘ Before Emily could respond the wave’s speed increased and she could see the shadow entirely hovering over her. When she looked up she could see the wave. The wave came crashing down immediately. She, luckily, knew how to swim. She lost her grip on her device as it floated away underwater. She struggled to breathe, but she held her breath long enough to make it to the surface of the water. She began swimming in different directions hoping to find help somewhere. Her hair was drenched and water came pouring down from her hair. She had to catch her breath. She inhaled and exhaled several times. She turned around and didn’t see waves but just water and destroyed buildings. Suddenly, a building a few inches ahead of her began tilting to the right. She realized it was about to crash down. ‘Shit..’ She mumbled. Was this the end for her? She suddenly heard a voice from above of her. ‘Ma’am.., come with us! We’ve gotcha!’ It was a helicopter in the sky. The helicopter began to get low to the surface of the water. Emily was heavily breathing while a man reached out for her hand and pulled her into the helicopter. She was drenched in water and was clearly freezing cold. They grabbed a towel and began drying her off with it while asking her questions. ‘Ma’am, was there anyone else with you when this tsunami came crashing down?’ A female in the front seat asked. ‘No, but I have a husband and children. I’m worried for them.’ Emily responded. ‘Do you know your address?’ She questioned Emily. ‘No. I don’t.’ The female raised one eyebrow in suspicion. ‘Alright..’ The woman muttered.

As the darkness stretches from horizon to horizon, the crescent moon crept up into the glistening landscape of the sky. Hoots of owls and croaks of frogs filled my ears, ever overlapping one another. i really wanna improve my writing and its so irritating that i dont have good vocabulary:( and this what ive written for last scene, its so basic and i think i over did the character and didnt really focus on the buildings. here it is : Half past the midnight, I’m on the way to home after a rough and painful night at the pub. As I walk on the stone pavement, it grows longer and longer. The Bright blue moon behind the town hall gives the bad vibes. The further I walk, mist on the street covers me, blocking my vision and courage to move forward. The sound made by infant babies crying for the mother’s milk, hits my eardrum and forcing my legs to move faster. Holding my black hat with red strip, I run down along the never-ending lamppost. The cold air makes contact with the sweat in my forehead as it drips down along my cheeks. suggestions appreciated !!

As I enter the City of New York. I see many people walking onto the road, people, I see very tall iconic buildings and busy every time the city itself says it is busy as a bee. I hear a lot of noises such as from the vehicles, the people chattering, traffic lights zooming in and zooming out of the street, and the tires screeching. I sense the smell of the smoke, and carbon dioxide around the city because of the vehicles and it's foggy when cars move around in the busiest city. I could taste the fog of the vehicles and it was dusty and some parts of the trees had fallen because of the pollution. When I do, I feel goosebumps on my arm because the vehicles start to screech when the traffic lights go green. I tried... so simple yet so creative and not simple..... like I wouldn't of thought of this when sitting in an exam or anywhere.... Idk anymore.... as exams get closer i start to forget things and get very anxious and worried.... i start to compare my self to others... i wanna do well in exams to look good..... like i just want the ground to swallow me up and get me away from the situation im in atm..... i revise and revise every day... averagely 6 hours a day and i just feel like its not really helping me or that im just not revising correctly..... i seriously don't know.... next week ive got mocks and i just feel like im unprepared (as always).... i usually get bad grades even though i revise and completely work my socks off.... and even after i have failed numerous times i do not give up but at this point im my life i dont even know anymore.... im year 11, I'm miserable and depressed and some how alive.... idk anymore.... im really sad... any advice for revision or anything??

Hey, well done for working hard and trying your best! Remember that practice makes perfect. Make use of your teachers at school and always ask for help when you need it. Try to do practice questions and get your teacher to mark them- they will give you good feedback. Good luck with everything! 😊

I would email your tutors and let them know how you have been feeling. Also, let your parents know how you have been feeling as they may support you by giving you someone to speak to. Once you feel better, you will be able to focus better on studying etc. Hope this helps.

As I waited for traffic light to turn green,I could hear people chitchat, cars tires producing an irritable sound while they stop along me.I could feel smoke of cars getting into my nose making it difficult for me to breathe. As I turned my eyes left right I could see magestic buildings standing still impressing me with it's beauty, till light turned green again!

The vast oceanic sky seduced me with its alluring expansive horizon. Stretching far beyond one's sight, the clouds peaked high like mountains reaching for the gods of Olympus. A mixture of sharp lime-like air intertwined with the salty sand as it enthralled and slept into my lungs. The waves played the piano as my legs glided joyfully across the vivid beach.

can someone judge mine i will take any harsh criticism i just want to make sure its good The tranquil valley was swaddled in a veil of poltergeist-white mist. Its eerily silent in the valley and the reason is obvious. The deathly vapour didn’t lick the valleys cold floor as the wind was known to do, its toungless form wouldn’t allow it to; Instead, it warped nature by using its spineless tentacles to trail around everything. It drifted and ghosted, glided and dangled - then it pounced. Once it was sure it had conjured up enough of its milky-white belonging, it clung to and enrobed everything it could; nothing was spared. It snagged and snared every grass and tree without mercy Although it looked ethereal and mystical, it wasn’t really friendly, you might say it was looking for a fight. It writhed and coiled with delight, its ghostly scarves wrapping the valley in a maze of mist. Coils of vaporous mist enwrapped the shaggy heads of the oak trees. They writhed around them like a conjurors milky smoke, sensuous and illusory. Sieves of mist caressed the bark staining it with its deadly moisture. A tumultuous silence overhung the hallowed ground where the trees dared not to grow. Nothing stirred, nothing shone and nothing swung. An echoing, like the hushed tones of a cathedral entombed the deadened valley. Suddenly darts of icy rain came spitting from the heavens above. They hissed and swished, shredding the ice into steam. Increasing the downpour, large droplets of sopping rain purged the valley of any remaining mist. This time the rain had won.

The gloomy night descriptive by me: The Sky was graphite grey and etched upon the sky. It became the sweet embrace of starry black, a fresh chance to dream anew... I heard the Sounds as if they were the portal into my soul like they were the keys to my safe. The rain was like the window to peace each drops that come to greet the earth with the sensation of flow melts your heart.. As i felt the rain drops in my hands i felt calm and peace as if they were the real magic.....

The crescent moon shinned brightly under the dark sky. I could smell the thick scent of burning ashes as I walked down the road. I stumble along the road as layers and layers of white hazy smoke filled my vision. The thunderous howling wind never seems to stop. A loud croaking could be heard from a murder of crows which left an unwanted chills down my spine. As the fog flushed down my skin. I force my legs to carry me down the endless road. The night grew colder and longer as I kept walking and walking...

As the tall, enormous skyscrapers look down upon me, I can see hundreds of people spread across the street. Each one is on their own, talking to their phones, pretending the others doesn’t exist. The smell of smoke coming from the cars passing by me smothered me with incredibly dreadful machine smell as I try to go past every street without bumping into any street lights or person..

Mossy green textures saturated the landscape. Bouquets of orange and blue decorated the sloping hills beside-violet flamed bushes. Spring sighed in breezy whispers tossing the leaves of the trees. A woodpecker in the belly of the woods echoed in the distance.

The snow was lathered un-evenly on the ground, like it had been spilled on the landscape accidentally. The bitter wind best across my face numbing its sense and making my cheeks go a light crimson. The trees were predators, there was no escape, they had surrounded me, watching every movement as I walked this tundra path. My journey took a halt as my path was interrupted by a mound of bones similar to that of a bird. The stench rose off it and attacked my nostrils, making my eyes start to water. Though the water droplets didn't make it far down my face as they were frozen prematurely. Making my cheeks feel as if they had been precisely cut.

Hello miss! I just wanted to ask a question that how could I make this picture even more detailed because like there's a topic I have to write on that "Describe a view from a high place such as the top of a hill or a tall building" so my teacher asked us to write on this topic and the word limit should be 250-300 words and I have chosen the view from the top of a hill as it has much more things present in the scene but I'm not able to make it so detailed as the word count is given so could you help me explain how to make it even more detailed? And one more thing that the things present in the picture are the goats, the houses, the road, the passengers passing along the road some from car and some walking, the children and the ladies are busy in picking the vegetables from the ground, people are going up and down on the hill and there's so much greenery and so beautiful flowers and the weather is very pleasant with beautiful white and fluffy clouds spread across the blue sky.

I coughed as the car fumes infiltrated my nose and mouth, murdering my taste buds. Chatter fell around me, many voices sounding on the busy street. Warmt enveloped me as the clouds parted overhead to reveal the sun, hanging as high as the buildings beside it.
