the only animations i hate are the ushabti. their standing pose, run, summon, and death animations are all top notch... but their attack animation needed to be more robotic and mechanical, and their walk should have been lockstep marching. I've always imagined that they would just be wading into crowds constantly scything through the enemy. I really hate the big exaggerated wide swings. other than that, I fully agree. I was so excited for tomb kings and they did a fantastic job across the board

The amount of detail in even the weakest units is staggering- both textures and animations. It's truly a wonder that this game exists and runs so well. It seems so ahead of It's time.

Indeed... The details on the units close up is insane. TW2 has its flaws mechanically, but boy there is so many thing to appreciate about it. Truly a gem among todays games.

The story of Nagash is truly epic in every sense of the word. The worlds first human necromancer from ancient Egypt basically. Killed by Sigmar the warrior priest king when he summoned legions of undead to destroy humanity. Slain again by the Scaven council of 13. Both Sigmar, as well as the council, died killing him. The entire Scaven surface level was destroyed overnight a wound they would never recover from. Amazingly he resurrected himself 3 times, lore predicts his next arrival will the end of all living things. Cannot wait to see the next chapter of the Liche King!

Skaven warlord here-here: You can't fight-win against enemy things with nothing but-but filthy Skaven slaves, clan rats and a single warpflamethrower unit-unit. Playing as Tomb Kings and undead armies in general made me pay attention more to the morale since if too many of units dropped in morale due to a captain or general death it was really a domino effect of the entire unit literally wiping themselves out due to low morale, was also my first campaign to win without any issues. One of my favorite factions so far!

yeah I was horrified the first time my entire vampire count army crumbled fighting greenskins in warhammer 1. i thought i could hold out long enough to force a route, but watching 12 half strength units just fade away to nothing was a totally new total war experience for me lol. absolutely love how each faction still finds a way to play completely different despite the fact that it is a bit of a rock paper scissors game when it comes to unit types

Attacking the tomb kings on their home turf when you’re a mammal is like invading Russia in winter. It’s scorching hot, you’re running on sand, and youre fighting an enemy that doesn’t need water. Even if you won, you’d just win a sandy desert. Seems like a fool’s errand.

It was an easy fight, tomb kings had archers, monstrous cavalry, giant units and magic whereas the skaven didn't have their own giant units, magic, cavalry and most importantly weapon teams

@@brainfreezzzze6900. Very true. That is pretty much how the End Times was. The Skaven, Beastmen and all the Chaos forces didn’t always win. But they ultimately won threw attrition, especially the Skaven. Ovcourse it was Nagash and his armies who defeated Settra and all the Tomb Kings. Pretty stupid actually, instead of Negotiating and joining forces to fight all the forces of Chaos. Nagash goes and devastates the Tomb Kings then goes and dyes anyway. It would have been interesting to see how all the forces of Chaos fought the Tomb Kings and Nagash’s undead and Vampires. But to bad he sent Settra and the Tomb Kings to dust. And Chaos won. All the Undead joining forces would at least of slowed down Chaos (possibly stopping it) but Nagash was so against Settra that he ended any possible chance of doing that. Anyway it’s all epic and ver interesting Lore that Warhammer has. It’s endless and priceless.

I knew the tomb kings would win from the beginning because the focus was on all their different elite units and epic warriors, whereas the skaven were shown way less, and with very few elite units, just hordes of basic grunt footsoldiers.
