Can't say this wasn't a legit win for Hukum. This was Desert Crown's first start back from injury since he won the G1 Epsom Derby nearly a year ago. But it was also Hukum's first start back at the races since suffering what at first appeared to be a career ending injury in his G1 Coronation Cup win at Epsom the day prior to Desert Crown's win in the Derby. Hukum was initially retired after being injured in the Coronation Cup. But trainer Owen Burrow did a great job getting him back healthy, and he defeats the previously unbeaten Desert Crown with both horses returning to the track after being off for just shy of a year.

Final half mile times: Hukum 48.21 Desert Crown 47.85 Kingscote had Desert Crown poorly placed off a slow gallop, made a huge move from 4 out, and blew up final half furlong. Winner had a perfect trip and being boxed in as the pace quickened ended up helping him to use the energy at the right time.

The only reason he won that race was because Desert Crown pressed the accelerator to early. He was behind Hukam and all he had to do was stay in behind Hukam but he did the tactics wrong and played sitting duck in the end. No chance for Hukam in the Arch to do the same b3cause the faster French horses in that race will be produced very very late . And my God they are super fast .

When are you lot going to start calling out jockeys, and I'm not talking about screaming fix but just how footballers are analysed, I called Richard kingscoate out for his ride the other day on here, the one he's just given bay bridge is one of the worst I've ever seen in 20 years of watching horse racing. He should hang his head in shame. Everyone knows you want the inside rail at curragh on the last furlongs, Ryan Moore is a winner he's not going to give up that rail, then Richard has just sat and sat and sat and given Ryan 2 lengths while waiting to get through. Absolutely brilliant from Ryan for Richard isn't doing his homework and just wants a horse that he can press a button on, the owners must feel sick he should not be accepting rides in such big races if he's not willing to leave it all on the track, absolutely disgusting, really disappointed in what he's turned out like.
